Won't work with my 360 controller

#1hajalie24Posted 4/15/2008 2:42:59 PM

I had this same problem in Rainbow six vegas 1 where my xbox 360 controller connected to the wirless reciever will not work. It works for other games but no rainbow six vegas 1 or 2. Is it because it is wireless or did anyone get it to work in the wireless gaming reciever for windows?

Thanks.

I dont think u are gonna get much responses considering its a pc game and the majority of the people will be using m&kb. lol. Have u tried Pinnacle Gamer Profiler? Works great with COD4 and RB6V1 for me. Only thing is since rb6v2 is brand new they probably wont have any pre-arranged button configs. Might have to set that up yurself for now.

Never heard of it. I'll go look it up. And it will allow it to work with COD4? Damn then I won't need to use my 360 for that.

Try a little program called Xpadder. It is easy to use. I use it with all the pc shooters out there.

Xpadder is nothing. Pinnacle Game Profiler kills every program out there, rich with features and perfectly emulates 360 controller for every game. You can even download pre-built profiles, no need to waste time. Just go to pinnaclegameprofiler.com, and see the info.

I agree. Pinnacle Game Profiler is a butt kicking program. My only gripe is that it costs money, so I have to do the whole red/l thing like i used to do with WinRar. It has profiles for everything. Use it well.

If you are going to use a controller and need mapping for unsupported models, Xpadder would be the very first choice. It's free, feature rich, and very user friendly.

I have a 360 wired controller so why won't it work on this and the original game? It works perfectly fine in Bioshock.

To test out a theory I borrowed a friends geniune wired 360 controller which he got with his console and wouldn't you know it both games work perfectly fine on the PC with this controller. The knock-off controller I own is supposed to be 100% compatible with the geniune controller but it won't work in either Vegas games but it works fine in other PC games.
