VamphaeryPosted 8/30/2011 1:42:04 AM | I've seen a lot of people suggesting that the endings in Human Revolution are unlike those in the original Deus Ex because in the original your prior actions played into what ending you got. I'm not sure where that misconception arises from, but I just wanted to clear it up.
The original game had three endings. None of them were contingent on things you did earlier in the game. Once you got to the final area, there were three scenarios you could undertake, each one resulting in a specific ending. The endings were no more elaborate or thoroughly produced than what we get in Human Revolution.
Getting them required more steps than simply pushing a button, but ultimately you could still very easily see all of them on one save file by simply reloading, just like in this game.
Now, it's perfectly fine if you simply don't like the endings or the form they take. This is just an FYI re: these endings versus those in the original. If anything, it seems like this was an attempt to remain true to the original in yet another way. (Whether that was a good idea or a bad choice is debatable, of course.) --- Trolls always pretend not to understand the concept of a subjective opinion... or claim to understand it but just insult you for having one in the first place. |
