Ok if you get this message "Error during initialization: Unhandled exception caught" this fix should help.
1- Go to Control Panel 2- The click on "Hardware and Sound" 3- Click on "Sound" 4- Doble click on "speakers" 5- go to the Advanced tab 6- Set the default format to "24 Bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)" 7- Thats it!
Now for Windows XP users, there is currently no fix but I'll try to keep a look out.
My problem is the following: If i change the Sound Default Format to 16 bit, 8000 Hz or 16 bit, 11025 Hz or 16 bit, 16000 Hz i get the "Unhandled exception caught" error. But: If i change the Default Format to 16 bit, 22500 Hz or 16 bit, 48000 Hz or 24 bit, 44100 Hz or 24 bit, 48000 Hz i only see a black screen and nothing else. I also dont hear any sound. I have the SoundMax Integrated HD Audio Device installed (i downloaded it from my motherboard supporter's official website), and I have Vista 32 bit. So how can i solve this problem?
