1) Why is it called "Guitar Hero" if it's a band game?
A: Because it's the series' name. Get over it.

2) Will my Rock Band instruments work on this?
A: On the 360 and PS3, yes. Whether or not the Wii will allow this remains to be seen. Educated guess from knowledge of Activision... no.

3) Do these instruments work for Rock Band 2, then?
A: It's possible. Harmonix has stated that they want full compatibility.

4) What about my Les Paul from GH3 and Aerosmith?
A: Yes, but you won't have the features from the new model. Also, the Les Paul will work for Rock Band 2 Wii.

5) So do I need a Wiimote for each instrument?
A: That's right, but they aren't that expensive, or you could ask your friends to bring one from home. One for each guitar, one for the drum set, and one to select Vocal difficulty and adjust its settings.

6) Does the Wii version suck?
A: No. It has most of the same features of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions. In addition, there is a simple Mii Freestyle mode that lets you jam to a guitar riff or have a friend join in and play guitar with.. Note that graphics are not a feature, and will not be as stellar on the Wii.

7) How does the DLC work?
A: Spend Wii points to download songs through an in-game store which are then saved to either the Wii internal memory or an SD card, called the Rock Archive.

8) What's this solid fret thing on the neck of the guitar?
A: A touch strip. One of its uses in gameplay is similar to the whammy bar, it modifies the tone of sustained notes. It also can be used in lieu of the strum bar during Tapping Sections. It can also be used for solo sections that light up purple for sliding notes. As if that's not enough, in the music creator it functions as a drum machine, an arpeggiator, and more things. More on those later.

9) And that new button by my wrist?
A: Activates Star Power, and controls palm muting for guitar in the Music Studio as well as changing percussion for Drums in the Music studio.

10) Is there anything new for bassists?
A: Yes. Open notes. These look like the full purple bass lines and like the name implies, are strummed without any fret button held down.

11) What makes these drums so special?
A: Two elevated cymbal pads, pressure/velocity sensitivity, a MIDI port on the back, and wireless capability thanks to the Wiimote. Star Power will be activated by hitting both cymbals which gives you 1 note miss to get back on track. Freestyle drum fills a la Rock Band will remain. Some notes are accent notes, which look "armored" and allow you to hit them harder than normal to get extra points.

12) How is the drum "Note Highway" laid out with two different drum height levels?
A: Red, Yellow, Blue, Orange, Green. You can easily remember this order with the acronym RYBOG! I realize "drum height level" sounds awkward, but there's no other way to describe that the two cymbals are about a foot above the three snare/tom pads without actually saying it like I just did.

13) Are the boss battles going to return?
A: Yes, but they seem to be just like Pro Face-Off mode against a computer. Hayley Williams, Jimi Hendrix, Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Corgan, Ted Nugent, Sting, Travis Barker, and Zakk Wylde are all playable characters, and could possibly have battles. The ones in boldface are confirmed.

14) What DLC will is available at launch or soon afterward?
A:

At Launch:
* "Rock and Roll Band" - Boston
* "Hot Blooded" - Foreigner
* "Jessie's Girl" - Rick Springfield
* "No Rain" - Blind Melon
* "Ted Nugent Guitar Duel" - Ted Nugent***
* "Zakk Wylde Guitar Duel" - Zakk Wylde***
* "Anything" - An Endless Sporadic***
* "Electrorock" - Sworn***
* "Broken, Beat & Scarred"- Metallica
* "Cyanide" - Metallica
* "My Apocalypse" - Metallica

*** = FREE DOWNLOAD

After Launch:
Can't really confirm any songs after what happened with Death Magnetic...

15) How does Star Power work now?
A: Like it did in Co-op GH2, somewhat. There is just one SP meter shared by the entire band. Each band member can use a portion of it (but not all of it) at any time.

18) Are they covers?
A: All of the on-disc songs will be master recordings, but I suspect some of the DLC will be covers simply by the sheer number of songs.

19) Does this have a Band world tour feature?
A: Yes, GHWT feature a World Tour mode akin to Rock Band instead of the tier-by-tier gameplay we know and love. We can change difficulty and instruments without restarting the Tour.

20) What's this about a Supaeasy/Beginner mode?
A: Simplified gameplay mode. For guitar just hold down any fret and strum only on "bass drum beats." For drums any pad will suffice, and any noise made into the mike registers correctly. I've drummed Expert Rock Band before, and let me tell you, sometimes the bass drum rhythm is pretty sporadic. It's an attempt to get GH-rocking parents' children in on the game. Please. The kids would be better than the parents...

21) When was this released?
A: October 26th, 2008.

22) How does the character/instrument creators work?
A: Much like THUG's, but less powerful for the Wii version. Watch this Vid for more info.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTGm3cpTCsk
Note that this vid is for 360/PS3. Wii's is less powerful.

23) What about the song creator?
A: Think Apple GarageBand, but more powerful. The new guitar's touch strip will play a prominent role in the studio, functioning as a full drum machine if you don't want to just bang out the rhythms yourself, an arpeggiator to create intricate guitar... arpeggios...

24) I've heard the song creator is severely limited...
A: Yes, it is. There is a three minute and 1,200 note limit, whichever comes first.

25) How much does this cost?
A: The full band kit is $189.99. The Game by itself is $49.99. The Guitar Bundle is $99.99 Individual instrument prices are unknown, but figure $70-80 for a guitar, and $80-90 for the drum kit.

26) My Cymbals/Pads don't work!
A: A lot of people have been noticing that the wires connecting to the drums are not connected. This may be a problem but hopefully Activision will fix this is in the future. In the mean time try to take it back to the store you got it from and get a new set.

27) Where do I download user created songs?
A: Go into the Music Studio and then click on GH Tunes.

28) How much is Download Conent?
Currently it is 0-200 Wii points however it may possible rise for some songs.

29) Which kit should I get?
A: It is really just a matter of preference. If you already have a guitar and just want to play the guitar portion of the game, go for the software only. If you do not have a guitar or wan't a 2nd one go for the Guitar Bundle. If you want to experience the game the way it was made, want to sing or even play drums go for the Full Band Kit.

30) How the hell do you beat...?
A: Hit Moar Notez...
Practice Practice Practice...
Not much help here as there isn't a science on how to beat certain songs.

31) What is the TTFAF of GH:WT?
A: There isn't really a song as hard as TTFAF was in GH3 but Hot For Teacher seems to be one of the hardest. B.Y.O.B. is a challenge for some.
Stay tuned for hard DLC though!

32) My HDTV is making the notes lag! How do I fix it?
A: Go into options and click on 'Calibrate Lag' and follow the on-screen instructions.

33) How do you rate songs in GH Tunes?
A: Once you download a song go ahead and play it. After you complete it will prompt you to rate it.

34) So what is that port that says 'MIDI' on my drums?
A: It is there so you can hook the drum kit up to a computer or other input device.

Random Question...
I have all songs unlocked, thanks to the cheat, but I am missing the 30 seconds to Mars song. Is there any reason for this?
