Kind of an update, straight from the CEO of Studio Archcraft

Got an email from Vincent Dehaut himself. It basically says its up for review for Graffiti Entertainment as we speak, then it will presented to Nintendo for their review, then they start printing. Studio Archcraft's work is officially done. So i say a Q1 2009 release is likely.

Q1? That's quite far away =[. But it's nothing compared to the time I had been waiting for this game.

It's gone gold... Doesn't mean the game will be delayed...

Nintendo has to review and approve the product, it hasn't gone "gold" yet. That is when it is officially in print Dash.

If Nintendo rejects any aspect, they have to go back and rework it. Then they have to make a working model for magazine and internet reviewers. Then the producers finalize the product and work the business model on who will buy the product and how it will be distributed.

There's still a ways before it official goes "gold". At least another month if not more. All depends on a number of factors.

No, that's when it goes into the process of printing, igna...

They don't "have" to make a model for reviewers and such... They already have a publisher...

Not really...

I never said they needed a publisher, I said the publisher's job comes into play at this stage. They've finished development, that is all.

Game is only "gold" when development is done, and it's 100% approved for actual cartridge production to sell, which it is not.

I didn't say you did... Hence why it's gone into gold status...

No, it is gone gold... Spore went gold back in like late July to pre-August, but didn't come out until September....

Honestly, I'm just grateful it hasn't been canceled. I think we can all agree there.

Agreed. I can wait as long as they need. I have very high hopes this game could bring me back to the 16 bit era in terms of fantastic gameplay and story.
