Good job Blueside, You ruined the game by turning it into an MMO

But that adjustment has dramatically changed the way the game is player. Reducing the stratergy of the game if your by yourself, you only have to worry about yourself, not you and your units.
Emanlol posted... I don't understand why everyone is freaking out over the closed beta testing videos, the beta is showcasing the mmo part. Most games get betas to test the online parts of the game, not for singleplayer. The beta is obviously not going to showcase the singleplayer if there is one. I'm going to stay optimistic and hope for there to be a singleplayer that stays true to its roots from the original xbox versions. I say the MMO part is fine, leveling up and gaining units and multiplayer sounds fun for the most part. Just as long as there is a good singleplayer story and gameplay, I will be happy. I don't think people should get riled up from the beta videos showing only the hero playing, blueside had to make adjustments to the game to make it fit into mmo mechanics. I just hope there is an amazing singleplayer, like the original xbox ones
sigh* so glad to see SOMEONE isn't freaking the hell out and taking the time to think and keep an open mind. wheater or not this game will have a single player is ultimitly UNKNOWN. until someone ask "will there be a single player?" and is answered "No." i will hold hope that it will have single player. and even if it's a MMO as you said, it's fine.i personally always felt that KUF had what it took to make an intresting MMO

explain to me exactly how you can tell how much stratgy is taken away from that vid you saw. you still manage several units it's just that on SOME missions you hoof it on your own, something that thinking about it now, doesn't surpise me anymore since they DID make circle of doom. it would make sense that some elements from the last KUF game got into this one (altho i admit i feel they could have done without it). based on all the vids i've seen so far, most of the gameplay we know and love is still intact. and really, at it's core, even if this is an mmo it's STILL very simular to TC aand heroes. the only diff is now you can actually run around in a town instead of just selecting the barrack button to tinker with your units etc, and when you need to fight you speed somewhere on the map and the fun begins.
Hmm thats true. I guess we are over reacting a bit, from what I seen it sorta reminds me of another game I got, BladeStorm. You go up to any unit and then you can take control of it and when you fight someone you get more XP towards that unit. But thats just what it reminds me of.
Only Kendal can save this game now...let's hope they don't ruin his design like they have done with Glen and Regenier.
BTW, why is Regnier helping Glen and humans in this STORY mission?
Nah. The game seems ruined to me.
Actually, the game looks like Ninety-Nine Nights and I never enjoyed that game. I think Phantagram (who developed Ninety Nine Nights) probably had the lead in designing KUF2. The combat looks similar and the way that your army follows you is the same how your troops followed you in Ninety Nine Nights. From what I remember of NNN, you had limited control over your units and they were pretty much useless. I hope this isn't the same in KUF2. The Xbox games was all about controlling your army and using strategy. If this one just has them there simply "just because" then that's going to suck. And BTW, that white haired villain? He looks like he's that guy from Devil May Cry and he looks girlish too! Man. Walter, Gerald and Rupert are probably glad that they aren't going to be in KUF2 with such wussies like the white hair guy running and jumping about.
After watching that video I've decided to not buy that game.
@Zero What worries me more about those videos is that the story seems a bit generic, with all the characters of all factions being officers for the human alliance no matter what faction they're from, and all characters from the different factions walking on the same towns together and commanding units from whatever faction they like. The gameplay, not as much.

i am fairly certain that guy was NOT regneir. note, this was taken from the CBT........yeah the MMO. so that was no doubt a character made by the player. let us hold on jugdements until we actually have solid info shall we gents? there isn't much we can tell by looking at the vids, after all, they ARE in korean. unless of course you know how to read it, then just forget what i said lol.

to be honest that was on my mind as well. but it is a CBT, maybe they are allowing open faction interaction due to the fact that they may have a very limited number of ppl playing. it would be an epic waste if they just let all the faction mingle together in the real game. it would clash with the story, AND they would miss out on some nice PVP elements for the mmo.
Yeah that's my hope too, that it's only because this is the beta. |
