How do you install the DLC?

I downloaded the DLC from social bioware and tried to execute the install programs, but it says Mass Effect 2 is not installed properly and that I need to do it again. But I have ME2 in my Electronic Arts folder, is it because I downloaded it with the EA Download Manager?

It may be fine. Did you install the DLC before that error came up? I may be thinking of a different error, but I had errors when installing the DLC but when playing, everything worked perfectly.

"Mass Effect 2 does not appear to be installed. Please install the game, and try again."

I don't think so, this would be the first time I've downloaded them at all.

1) install ME2
2) run downloaded DLC exes

Try reinstalling ME2

Have you actually ran the game yet? With the Steam version, I had to start up the game once before I could install any DLC.
I'm a cool guy.

If I run the DLC installation files while ME2 is running, it does confirm that it needs to be shutdown before it can process.

Still doesn't work despite reinstalling.

You can try a manual install. Get 7zip. It's a program. Use it to extract your DLC installer files. Then from there look into the folder contents for a .rar file. Extract it and copy it into your Mass Effect game folder. You simply copy the BioGame folder which was extracted from the DLC file and merge it with your current BioGame folder. When finished you should have something like..

Hope it works out for you. I had the same program. I got my copy from DA2. A friend gave it to me. It's been a real hassle to get DLC to work. I just gave up and tried this way.

Continues to say that the files are corrupted and/or damaged and are unable to verify it.
