I don't have the first mass effect anymore, and i didn't quite finish it. All of the decisions that were made in the first one effects the world in this game, i made it all the way through the game up until the last boss. Any major decision after that i didn't get to do, my question is what will happen in the next game if i use this save? Will the game make a guess as to what i would of done based on what i did before the end, or will nothing happen?

I'm pretty sure that nothing will transfer if you start ME2 without finishing Mass Effect. There is one major decision that you have to make when you take out Saren.

My advice is to either get Mass Effect back, borrow it, or rent it to finish it.

The game makes an "invisible" autosave when you finish the game that has all your decisions and stuff in it that you will load in ME2. So if you didn't finish the game, you can't load anything.

Im not sure on this, but mass effect 2 may have a default setting that is plannedout.I bet if you have
a me1 save its just a bonus

correct.

for the unfortunate hundreds of "sequel players" (kids who play sequel without first) they will play a default version. those of us that have finished the original have an added level of consequence to our decisions.

alot of people will probably replay me1 after a few me2 playthroughs to 'fix' our consequences

leading on from the this point..

what if you have completed it once, started a second play through and didnt finish that?

If you haven't finished your second playthrough, it will probably take the first one.

It may have been a while since you guys began a ME1 character, but you start with 3 catagories with which to build a foundation for your character's back story.

I'm sure ME2 will have just that, as well as a "Continue" option for those with ME1 characters.
