Yosuke >>>> Junpei

They're obviously both meant to fill the "carefree bro" role in their respective games, but Yosuke is just a far superior character, in my opinion.

- Junpei's feelings toward Chidori were obsessive and sappy. Hearing him go on and on about Chidori started to get annoying. Sasuke's feelings toward Saki were more natural.

-In terms of gameplay, Junpei didn't really stand out. In fact, in all of my P3 playthroughs, I never leveled him. Yosuke can heal in a pinch, and Tentarafoo is a godsend on Expert mode. Also, Junpei's crit animation is awkward (although the P3 crit animations were in general better than the P4 one's, especially FeMC's and Ken's).

IMO.

They're both bad.

Also, huge 2-handed broadswords are way overused in RPGs and he just looked silly holding it to me. Real men dual-wield!

I'm a fellow Yosuke fan, and I approve this message.

Can't tell if intentional or not.

In any case, I like Ysouke more, but Junpei had his moments. It was nice to see him evolve from an idiot to someone more respectable.

Also, Brosuke.

I hated the whole Chidori arc, but Junpei offered far better comic relief, even if that's all he was good for :<
Also, his English VA is full of win.

I'm sorry, but did you just say that two characters who actually had their own arc about getting to know one another and actually falling in love is WORSE than one character basically stalking someone who didn't even like him and then never shutting up about her after she died and using her murder as an excuse to justify some of the horrible **** he does (or tries to)

...are you a Twihard or something?

Yeah I don't understand how you can say Junpei's relationship with Chidori was bad, but Yosuke's was somehow acceptable.

Yosuke's obsession with Saki felt incredibly forced. Probably because there was literally zero development for it before she was killed.

Yosuke as a whole is a pretty boring character, I feel. He didn't really have anything to him. His design was pretty boring, and he wasn't even good in battle until later in the game. His social link was very boring.

Junpei at least had some substance to him. Yosuke's entire character was just "man I hate this boring town oh man saki I miss you well okay I guess this town is all right"

I enjoyed Junpei's storyline Persona evolution much more compared to Yosuke's Rank 10 evolution, especially since I didn't even consider the fact that Medea and Hermes fused together until I saw the two merge in the PSP version.
