AApt24Posted 2/27/2009 8:06:57 AM | My defense is stacked, how's this for a 4-3
DE: Mario Williams DT: Mike Patterson DT: Tony Brown DE: Terrell Suggs (Yes I know he's an OLB, but he's a freak on D-End) OLB: Ernie Sims OLB: Shawn Merriman MLB: Patrick Willis CB: Deangelo Hall CB: Cortland Finnegan CB: Richard Marshall FS: Brodney Pool SS: Eric Weddle
Anyone ever make a defense better than that? All of my players are under the age of 27, so its built to last too. Yes I was cheap and turned off salary cap, I just wanted to see if I could build the ultimate defense. I think Philly fans would really love this team.....sacks galore!
On Offense I went for a solid runningback, up and coming qb and speed at reciever with a solid O-Line.
QB: Jamarcus Russell HB: Ryan Grant FB: John Kuhn WR: Devin Hester WR: Devin Thomas WR: Andre Caldwell TE: Vernon Davis TE: Dustin Keller LT: Joe Staley LG: Todd Herremans C: Chris Chester RG: Ben Grubbs RT: Jeff Otah
KR/PR: Devin Hester (Who else)
Essentially this is a carbon copy of what Andy Reid did with Donavan McNabb ten years ago, young mobile QB with strong arm, decent running attack with west coast offense complete with fast but underachieving recievers. I'm hoping Devin Thomas at 21 years old turns out to be a superstar, he's got the size and speed to be one. Then again in this version, with the assistant coach feature, I could have made Joey Harrington into Tom Brady by the end of a season. --- "This Year in Jerusalem." |
