Demo (trial as it'll be called) will be available as with all XBLA games. I reckon day one for me too (as long as it's priced fairly).
If I find a release date i'll put it on here.

I have never personally played it, but remember seeing a buddy of mine play the multiplayer version of the game, Multiwinia. Game seemed pretty sweet! I had forgot all about it until I noticed the video up on the XBL Marketplace. The company, Introversion Software, allows you to download the demo for both Darwinia and Multiwinia (which both make up this XBLA port). Not sure on the system specs required to run either, but it might be worth checking it out. I am actually currently downloading Darwinia as I type this up.
On a side note, I absolutely love the company even though I had no clue at first who was making this game. They made one of my all time favorite "under the radar" games, Uplink.. which would make for one sweet XBLA game!! --- My Heroscape Map Collection. http://www.heroscapers.com/community/showthread.php?t=5370

But do you have any idea when Darwinia+ will be on the Live Arcade market? I heard one of the developers say they'd have it done by September, but that's obviously not the case now. --- - Dyna Van De Land, the Silver Knight -

Played it, got the free pack in key chain... wish I still had it. That key chain was awesome. --- Gamertag/PSN: Paedin Wii Number: 7543 3358 0044 2660

It was a pretty simple RTS with an awesome concept and great visual style. For being so simple, it was a lot of fun. --- [Not changing this sig until I see some other lame sig that isn't going to change until some sports team wins the playoffs or some other old bull**** like that]

Played both Multiwinia and Darwinia, I have the key chain and it is still on my car keys :)
The XBLA version will have both Multiwinia and Darwinia in one package along with some other features, what the features are... I don't know --- The day he stops smiling is the day we remember his smile... Gamer-tag: Chowster44

Very simplified and fun RTS. Definitely worth fifteen bucks. Played it a few years ago on the PC and I absolutely loved it.
