First Castlevania

Hi, everyone. I've just defeated the final boss with Shanoa.

I really enjoyed my first Castlevania game. Suggestions as to which ones I should check out next?

If you c an get ahold of Aria of Sorrow on the GBA (or just emulate it) do that, then play Dawn of Sorrow on the DS (Aria and Sorrow follow the same set of characters). As others have mentioned, Portrait of Ruin on the DS is also a great Castlevania.

Others have mentioned Symphony of the Night (SotN) the only trouble with it is it is a rare game these days, and being the first Metroidvania, is waaaaay of the easy side. If you happen to be one the poor suckers like me who bought a PSP, you can get an upgraded version of SotN on the Castlevania Rondo of Blood remake for the PSP. SotN, as Rondo's spiritual sequel, is ported on there with a few upgraded features.

If you want to start at the classic roots of Castlevania, Dracula's Curse on the NES is considered among the best of the classic but **** is it *hard*!

Besides those SomeMacGuy, Marsulas and Phoenix7786 recommended, I'd say Circle of the Moon for GameBoy Advance.

Circle of the Moon, if you like hard games.

Harmony of Dissonance, if you like piss easy games.

Aria of Sorrow if you like a decent balance in difficulty.

Dawn of Sorrow, if you're a masochist

Portrait of Ruin, if you like Shonen animu.

Symphony of the Night if you, for some strange reason, think games are art.

Legacy of Darkness, if you're a real man.

Lords of Shadow, if you like crap.

Rondo of Blood, if you like overpowered loli's.

Harmony of Despair, if you like room-based MMO's or something similar to Grand Chase.

Or the 360. It is also available on the 360.

Symphony is also a PS1 Classic on PSN (so you can play it on PS3 or PSP), and it's an extra on the PSP's Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles.

There are actually a lot of options for Symphony of the Night.

Besides OoE, what Metroidvania isn't way easy? CoM was a tad more of a challenge but not by much.
