| i've been breeding some starters and i've been getting the natures i wanted until i decided to breed a turtwig.
my impish ditto IS holding the everstone, yet the last 3 turtwigs i've gotten were careful, adamant, and lax.
anybody know what's happening?

| IVs are the only bad thing about the whole pokemon series. The concept of IVs is not bad in itself, but having to reset over and over to make sure you get good IVs is a piece of fail. |

Does time have anything to do with this? Like if I soft reset after finding a time, will the time need to be changed? What about for any soft reset? I know some seeds are found by time, so what if you reset and the time changes to the next minute? Sorry, but I just don't want to spend hours doing the wrong thing since this stuff takes a long time. |

I just wanted to thank you for this topic (though i read this first time veery long ago actually, but i'm quite shy and try to avoid joining forums even though i'd like sometimes). These advices got me to the start of breeding in pokemon Pearl, more than a year ago i think. And since then even though my first breeds had only 2 perfect IV's, in the stats they mostly need them, nowadays i'm always trying to get 4 perfect IV's, in which i'm quite successful, though a lot depends on being lucky. Also, i've been breeding in platinum since i got it (just because there's that broken code that somehow makes it a teeny wee bit easier to find/hatch shinies) and always at least a 3 perfect IV's is a must.
No, i don't do competitive battling myself, i breed pokemon for other people because not everyone has time or resources (like pokemon emerald for dittos) to do that and i want to help.

| just a tip for those seeking to IV breed if you have a wii and you want a mew, get the game my pokemon ranch. It is a really cheezy game but you can put all those unwanted pokemon to good use and use them towards a mew. |
