Use a high hp and low weight AWD car. Like the time attack evolution or rs200.

I did this without a tune just the other day. I'm terrible at drifting too.

Time Attack Evo, Fujimi Kaido. All assists off, manual transmission, keep it in 2nd gear the whole time. You should have at least 50,000 by the time you start heading downhill.

running out of rewinds

You can rewind as much as you want, you just ran into a small glitch. Purposely hit a wall next time so the little rewind indicator appears at the bottom of the screen.

I got the achievement on my second lap using the Time Attack Evo with all assists off and manual w/ clutch. Just keep at it, it isn't too hard.

Oh yeah, I forgot. You can't rewind at the very beginning or near the end. My bad.

Here's what I used and its very controllable...
Fujimi Kaido Reverse
2005 Subaru WRX STi
Upgrade the motor to 560-70 hp include race flywheel
Full race upgrades on handling/suspension/downforce...include race wing and spoiler also race tires
Buddy Club or R Wantabe wheels (for lightest possible)
Stock suspension and downforce tuning
Use 2nd gear for 90% of the course. For the triple hairpin section down shift to 1st.
EBrake to start a slide, then power through the slide while counter steering. You may find that counter steering is not always needed and leaving the wheel neutral (not moving the left stick) will get you around some corners.

Minor adjustments... everyone is different
If you feel the front doesnt grab enough...adjust the front camber to -1.0
If the rear slides around too fast for you...adjust the rear toe to -.1

Yeah, i'm also having trouble with this achievement and I feel like yelling! The closest I got was like 92K on Fujimi. i'm not an expert. I'm using a Mazda Familia modded to RWD. Its light and have high BHP. I'm certain the car has a ton of pontential. The only problem is with my driving. Although I find the sweet spot is gear 3 or gear 4 with that car. I might try again someday and hopefully I can nail it this time.

Near the end my ***, I was at 90,000 points on the last turn, each time I could rewind until I got it spot on perfect to over 100,000.
