Is it possible to use the official bluetooth headset as the mic for rock band 2? I wanna play the guitar and sing at once.

I dont think you can use a headset mic of any kind to sing in Rock Band.

But im pretty sure you can buy a mic stand for the Rock Band microphone.

Cowbell! Hahaha...

But to answer your question, it has to be a USB headset. I tried using my old PS2 wired headset to sing and it works. Bluetooth won't work as far as I know.

I just tested this a few hours ago, but if you use the official PS3 bluetooth headset and plug its charging stand in via USB cable to your PS3 (and associate it, obviously) it'll let you use the headset as a Rock Band mic. It was a little squiffy during my brief testing period (exacerbated by the fact I can't sing worth a damn) but it was functioning.

I used my bluetooth (Plantronics Discovery 925) and it worked as a wireless mic just fine.
