Bleakwail's Complete List of Every Obtainable Item in Dragon Age: Origins Guide

#1BleakwailPosted 7/31/2010 4:14:47 AM

WITH EVERY LOCATION!

Now, before we get started here, let me just say this, first and foremost; Are you ready?

******SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*****

For ANYONE who is wanting to play DA:O without using any cheats, or guides, and are trying to find all the items alone, DO NOT READ BELOW! This guide is intended for player's who would like to know the locations of all of the items that they have never been able to find. The wikia is set up in such a way, that when you click to view all of the items within the game, you have to pull up a page for armor, a page for shields, a page for clothing, a page for robes, a page for weapons.... and on and on it goes. Every obtainable item (weapon, armor, shield, accessory, belt, amulet, ring, helmet, you name it. It's all there.) The only problem is, that you have to click on EACH INDIVIDUAL link, for example: If you wanted to know how to find every shield in the game. You would have to pull up the wikia page for shields, and then every shield is individually listed with a link. You have to CLICK each shield, ONE AT A TIME. Each time you click a shield, it brings up a window for that shield, and gives the location of the item, etc. What I wanted to do, was to make a guide, which listed every single item in the game, and all of their locations. Starting with putting every city, town, village, and hole in the wall, in alphabetical order. And then list each item appropriately, so that a player could scroll down to whichever location he is currently playing the game at, and have access to every item that exists in that location.

What did I have to do in order to make this guide? I had to spend about 8 hours at it. I clicked over 600 links. I copied and pasted the item, and the location of the item, which chest it is located in, how rare of a drop rate it has, which enemies have it, or drop it.... And to top it all off, I put each item, with all of that information applied to each item into the proper slot under the name of the town, city, village, or cave it is found in. All in alphabetical order. I printed it all out for myself, and put it in a 3 ring binder. I also wanted to share it with you all. I have absolutely NO IDEA if I am going to get modded for this. I wouldn't think so, because I did WARN THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT THE GAME SPOILED with alerts in this post. I do not know how to create my own cheat/strategy guide to list in the hints/cheats section of gamespot.com, or I would do that. If anyone knows how I can do that, please give me instructions.

PLEASE NOTE:::

THIS LIST IS COMPLETE. EVERY IN GAME OBTAINABLE ITEM. However, be adviced, that I have left out some of the items in Return to Ostagar DLC, Some items from Warden's Keep DLC, Some items from The Stone Prisoner DLC (EXCEPT FOR CADASH THAIG IN ORZAMMAR ITEMS. Those have been included.). And I have not included anything from Leliana's song.

My reason for doing this, was because these items are almost impossible to miss when you playthrough the DLC. I did, however, list the Warden's Tower Shield rare drop from Sophia Dryden. THIS GUIDE DOES NOT CONTAIN AWAKENINGS ITEMS***

Please enjoy!

Juggernaut Armor Set

The Mage's Treasure

Quest
The Mage's Treasure

Location: Brecilian Forest
Start: Brecilian Forest
End: Brecilian Forest
Appearances: Dragon Age: Origins

The Magister Harach brought an army to this forest, led by Alaric, his friend and general. For Alaric, Harach fashioned a suit of the finest armor, infused it with lyrium and his own blood magic, and named it "Juggernaut" after the unstoppable giant golems guarding the gates of Minrathous. Thus armed did Alaric win many victories against the Clayne. When defeat came, it came from within. Alaric's own lieutenants rose up against him. In a fury, Magister Harach voyaged to the outpost and slew the last three lieutenants. Harach used the last of his own life force to cast a spell of blood magic that bound demons to the bodies of the three dead lieutenants as well as Harach's own lifeless corpse. These bound revenants hid the pieces of the Juggernaut armor. The Juggernaut armor's legend lives on, and more than one brave soul has ventured into the depths of the Brecilian Forest in search, never to return.
--From Codex Entry: Legend of the Juggernaut

This optional side quest can be obtained while exploring the Brecilian Forest, and leads The Warden to gather all of the pieces of the Juggernaut Armor Set

[edit] Tombstones

Throughout the Brecilian Forest, the Warden will come across certain Tombstones, or Gravestones. Each can be inspected, and then activated by disturbing the wards on them. In each case, a Revenant will spawn and attack the group, often aided by minor undeads (Skeletons, Skeleton Archers, Fanged Skeletons and/or Skeleton Mages). The Warden will find a piece of the armor set after winning each of these fights.

The location of the tombstones:

* West Brecilian Forest: a clearing in the Eastern part of the area, past the encounter with Swiftrunner and North of The Grand Oak:
o Defeating the spirit at this location yields the Juggernaut Helm;
o Note The Gravestone at this location is particular for a couple of reasons:
1. The Warden can inspect this gravestone but the option to disturb its wards is not available until the quest is acquired by activating one of the other tombstones associated with this quest;
2. A Mystical Site of Power landmark is found in this same location, associated with the Places of Power quest;
* East Brecilian Forest: a clearing in the North portion of the map, close to the clearing where the Mad Hermit is found (see Northern Ancient Tombstone):
o Defeating the spirit at this location will yield the Juggernaut Plate Boots;
* East Brecilian Forest: a clearing in the South portion of the map, past The Magical Barrier, right after the second encounter with Swiftrunner (see Southern Ancient Tombstone):
o Defeating the spirit at this location yields the Juggernaut Plate Gloves;
* A Sarcophagus within The Elven Tombs (specifically, in the Lower Ruins):
o Defeating the spirit at this location yields the Juggernaut Plate Armor
o See below further details about this last location.

Note: You can watch this video for a tutorial.

[edit] The Elven Ritual

The last piece of the armor set is found in the Lower Ruins level of The Elven Tombs. In order to disturb the spirit holding the last piece of armor, the Warden has to complete The Elven Ritual quest. As the Warden enters a large room with a circular mosaic on the floor, the spirit of a Ghostly Boy will call out for his mother. The Warden can try and talk to him, but he doesn't seem to hear or understand the Warden, and will flee away.

In a side room close-by, the Warden can retrieve A Carved Elven Tablet from a Sarcophagus, which will add The Elven Ritual quest to the journal:

With the quest in the journal, and the tablet in the inventory, the Warden can proceed to the large room in the North-East corner of the Lower Ruins. A locked Metal Door will stop the party in a room with a Fountain (or pool) in the middle of another rounded mosaic, and an Altar on the side. This altar might not be there, which would make it impossible to complete the quest and obtain the Juggernaut Plate Armor
The Fountain for the Elven RitualThe Altar for the Elven Ritual
Add a photo to this gallery

The Warden can perform the ritual as described by the tablet in this room:

1. Take the earthen jug from the fountain.
2. Fill the earthen jug with water.
3. Leave the pool alone.
4. Place the filled earthen jug on top of the nearby altar.
5. Kneel before the altar and pray.
6. Examine the earthen jug on the altar.
7. Take a single sip from the water in the earthen jug
8. Take the earthen jug.
9. Leave the altar alone.
10. Dump the remaining water from the earthen jug into the fountain.

If the Warden makes any mistake in the sequence, two Shades will attack the party. On the other hand, the jug will not break and the Warden can try again. When the Ritual is completed successfully, the jug will break, The Elven Ritual quest is completed and the Metal Door will open, allowing entrance into the Elven Burial Chamber .

The Warden will have to fight a group of Skeleton Archers to reach the spirit in the middle of this large room, who appears to be the Spirit of the Ghostly Boy's Mother. However the Spirit will quickly turn against the Warden, summoning a couple of Greater Shades to aid her. When the fight is over, the Warden can inspect the Sarcophagus atop the stairs and retrieve the last piece of the Armor set (and discover the Codex Entry: Uthenera).

You can acquire Duncan's shield from an armour stand in the Grey Warden Vault. The location of that vault is given to the Warden by Riordan after you have rescued him from the Arl of Denerim's dungeon. He will automatically equip the shield for the next battle at Denerim (when not in the party). This quest starts if the Warden has either surrendered to, or been beaten by, Ser Cauthrien in the Arl of Denerim's Estate at the end of the Rescue the Queen quest. The Warden (and Alistair, if he was in the party at the time of the capture) are taken to a cell in Fort Drakon.

DENERIM GREY WARDEN VAULT

lesser tevinter robe

* Dropped from Healer Saritor.

Griffon's Beak, and Griffon's Helm

This set can be acquired as a reward from Zathrian for the quest Nature of the Beast and from the Grey Warden Vault.
This set consists of Griffon's Beak and Griffon's Helm.

Duncan's shield

The Warden has the option to speak with Alistair about the subject of Grey Wardens. During this conversation, if the Warden asks about Duncan, Alistair will reveal that he wished he had something of Duncan's to remember him by. Duncan's Shield is a gift that can fulfill that desire.
edit Acquisition

You can acquire Duncan's shield from an armour stand in the Grey Warden Vault. The location of that vault is given to the Warden by Riordan after you have rescued him from the Arl of Denerim's dungeon. You will have to have taken the Grey Warden documents from the chest on the main floor of the Arl of Denerim's Estate. The chest is located in Arl Howe's room, right next to the door leading to the dungeon.

Note: If you give the gift to Alistair after the Landsmeet while at Redcliffe Castle, the scene does not appear until you continue the quest in Riordan's room. He will automatically equip the shield for the next battle at Denerim (when not in the party). If you had a 2 Handed weapon equipped (bow or sword), Alistair will be forced to fight without a weapon equipped -- just Duncan's shield.

high constable's mace

This mace can found in the Grey Wardens' warehouse in Denerim.

DENERIM LANDSMEET

DENERIM LELIANA'S PAST

Chevalier Armor Set

Other pieces of the armor can sometimes be found in Marjolaine's chest during Leliana's personal quest in Denerim but its contents are randomly generated and are set the first time Marjolaine's house is entered. It is possible to acquire the entire set here (confirmed Xbox 360).

Note: On the PC, the drops in Marjolaine's chest is determined the first time you enter Denerim, and NOT Marjolaine's house.
Note: Equipping Chevalier armor pieces already in The Warden's possession may increase the chance of the missing armor piece(s) dropping.

EXECUTIONER'S HELM

During the companion quest Leliana's Past, inside the chest that also contains Marjolaine's Recurve. It is a random find.

Standard Bearer's Helm

The Standard Bearer's Helm can sometimes be found in the chest containing Marjolaine's Recurve and a variety of randomly generated loot in Marjolaine's Home in Denerim.

DENERIM Master Ignacio TRIAL OF CROWS QUEST

The Red Jenny Seekers are obtained after completion of all assassination quests (The Trial of Crows) given by Master Ignacio in Denerim. They also have a chance of appearing on the Gang Leader's corpse in the Dark Alley during the Back Alley Justice quest.

whitewood bow

The Whitewood Bow can be obtained during the Trial of the Crows quest. It is found in a chest when you go after a group of mercenaries called the Kadan-Fe in a forest south of Denerim. The area can only be reached while on this quest. This is the best shortbow in the game.

Noble Clothing

At the end of the quest The Trial of Crows, if you choose to attack Master Ignacio there is a chance that he'll drop this clothing.

# On the Xbox 360 version of the game when the Noble Clothing is given to Sten it turns into a bright peach colored outfit.
# Possible Glitch if you put the noble clothing on Morrigan, Leliana or a female human Warden, their clothes become a Yellow dress that is marked " DO NOT USE " on the front and back of the dress (this happens for both Master Ignacio's and the Chamberlain's clothing).

DENERIM RESCUE THE QUEEN QUEST

Commander's plate armor set

Alongside Howe's Shield during Rescue the Queen.

Note: All pieces are random so save before entering area

biteback axe

The Biteback Axe is a rogue-only main-hand axe. You can obtain it during the quest Rescue the Queen. This axe has no strength requirement to equip.

The summer sword

The Summer Sword is a very large and powerful two-handed greatsword. It was won by Loghain Mac Tir from its previous Orlesian owner - Luis, son of Lord Aurelien of Montsimmard. Loghain perhaps lent or gifted it to Ser Cauthrien, the commander of his elite soldiers.
edit Trivia
# It is possible to obtain two copies of this sword. If you kill Ser Cauthrien and loot her during the Rescue the Queen quest, and then allow the remainder of her guards to kill your party and capture the main player and Alistair, she will respawn and confront you at the Landsmeet. Both times she will have the sword on her body.

DENERIM RIORDAN WAREHOUSE

Griffon's Helm can be found in the Denerim Market District in a Warehouse whose location must be revealed by Riordan.

DENERIM THE BATTLE OF DENERIM QUEST

Corruption is a helmet that can be looted from the Hurlock General during The Battle of Denerim questline.
It is a near perfect helm for fighting the Archdemon, as it gives 75% Spirit Resistance. Which is the majority of the damage that the Archdemon does. Its also an excellent helm to use with Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor Set.

Axe of the Vashoth

This weapon is looted from the body of the Hurlock General during the Battle of Denerim.

DENERIM UNBOUND QUEST
********
DENERIM DIRTY BACK ALLEY QUAINT HOVEL (RELATED TO UNBOUND)

Elementalist's Grasp

A chest in the Quaint Hovel related to Unbound

Fade Wall

Fade Wall is a powerful heavy shield in Dragon Age: Origins. It is a possible reward from the Unbound side quest.
edit Aquisition

Fade Wall has a chance of appearing on Gaxkang's body if the Warden defeats him at the end of Unbound. The chance is reportedly better when playing on a harder difficulty setting. It is, of course, possible to wear Gaxkang down on Casual and then switch to Nightmare when he's almost finished.
edit Notes

* Fade Wall is quite powerful, but unfortunately there is a bug effectively rendering the +X% to healing effects received modifier useless.
* There appears to be a fairly common bug in the Awakening expansion that causes Fade Wall to appear on your character's back backwards and slightly off angle. You cannot pull out your shield in combat when this happens, but it causes no loss in actual combat effectiveness. It also leads to the hilarious situation of what appears to be a character backhanding an enemy when Overpower is used.
*

keening blade

The Keening Blade is dropped by Gaxkang at the end of the Unbound side quest.

DENERIM WADE'S EMPORIUM

Soldier's Heavy Helm

Can be bought in Wade's Emporium.

EVON THE GREAT'S MAIL

Evon the Great's Mail can be obtained in Wade's Emporium in Denerim from the shopkeeper Herren. Similar to The Felon's Coat, you can miss this if you've commissioned the second set of Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor, as Herren will refuse to sell to you.

The Felon's Coat

The Felon's Coat can be obtained in Wade's Emporium in Denerim from the shopkeeper Herren for 88Gold 95 Silver 25Bronze. Note that items cannot be purchased from Herren after you've commissioned the second set of Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor.
edit Acquisition

To make Felon's Coat appear in Herren's inventory, you have to complete any three of the main quests:

* Broken Circle
* The Arl of Redcliffe
* Nature of the Beast
* The Urn of Sacred Ashes
* A Paragon of Her Kind

edit Involvement
[edit] Origins

Wade can make, and give a quest for drake and dragon scale armors. When you visit Wade's Emporium with Drake Scales in your inventory, you will get the option to talk to Herren about the scales, which leads to Wade crafting Wade's Drakeskin Armor for you. You have the option to pay him either 10 Gold (if this is the first commissioned piece) or 20 Gold (if it is the second) in order to make it perfect. If you paid the additional sovereigns for a commissioned piece, either the first or the second, when you give Wade the Dragon Scale he will be sufficiently skilled to craft the superior version of the Dragon Scale Armor. If you did not pay the additional sovereigns (either ten the first time or twenty the second), you will only get the normal version of the Dragon Scale Armor.
[edit] Optimum Order

In summary, the optimum order is to follow this sequence:

1. Give him three Drake Scales and pay 10 Gold to get Wade's Drakeskin Armor
2. Hand over the last three Drake Scales to get Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor.
3. Lastly, present the single Dragon Scale. This grants you either Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor, Wade's Superior Dragonscale Armor, or Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor, depending on choice.

This does not have to be done all in one go. You can get the Drakeskin Armor, use its fire resistance property to help defeat the High Dragon, then come back at a later date with the Dragon Scale. Also, you can switch the order of steps two and three (if for some reason you don't have three more Drake Scales, but have the Dragon Scale) and still get the same result. You only need 3 or 6 drake scales the rest serve no purpose.
[edit] Shop Closure

After the Drakeskin Armor is produced, the shop will remain open for you. After the Superior Drakeskin Armor is produced, Herren will tell you that they've lost customers thanks to Wade taking so long on your order, and will bar you from the store. You can still collect one of the Dragonscale Armors if you have not done so already (as Wade overrules Herren if you bring up the topic of Dragon Scales), but you cannot access the store's regular inventory. If you want to buy anything from the Emporium (such as the unique Felon's Coat or Evon the Great's Mail), make sure you do so before getting the Superior Drakeskin Armor.

Paying extra for both sets of Drakeskin Armor will not stop Herren from closing the shop. However, if you skip the second set of Drakeskin Armor altogether and craft the Dragonscale Armors the shop will remain open.
[edit] Obtaining several sets of Superior Dragon Scale Armor

Note: The current Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 patches (1/13/10) have fixed this glitch. Some users have had success as of 19 July 2010 on the PC version.

After you get the Dragon Scale talk to Herren. Note that you should first complete step one in the optimum order section above prior to asking for the Dragonscale Armor. Sell the Dragon Scale to Herren and then ask Wade to make your choice of the Dragonscale Armor and he'll do it producing the superior version for you. Once you get the armor, talk to Herren again and buy back the Dragon Scale, then immediately sell it back to him (this can be done without exiting the buy/sell screen). When you close the shop window, you'll see the prompt come up again about the Dragonscale armor quest. When you talk to Herren again, you'll have the option to once again ask Wade to make a set of Dragonscale Armor for you. You can equip your entire party if you like or just sell the armors. The Dragonbone Plate Armor is worth the most at around 10 Gold. Note that you should make a new save after you obtain each set of armor since the scale can end up disappearing from your chest and so you may need to reload. The Dragon Scale may also disappear from the shop inventory after you sold it to Herren, making a new round of buy/sell the Dragon Scale impossible. It seems that checking your inventory after receiving the armor set is an easy way to keep the Dragon Scale in the shop inventory. Wade does not care if you have the same set of armor in your inventory when asking him to make more.

If you are unable to sell to Herren, you can try to sell the Dragon Scale to other merchants, such as Cesar or Gorim who are just outside, in the market. Another (slower) way of exploiting this is as follows. Once obtaining the dragon scale, stash it in your party stash, then go turn in the quest. If you desire another copy of the armor, pull the scale from the stash, exit stash menu, obtain the quest, put the scale back into the stash, return to Wade to recive your armor. Repeat as necessary.

In order to make sets of different armor types (medium, heavy, or massive), you must start with the heaviest armor and only when you've enough of that type of armor should you start making the next heaviest type armor. Example: You want ten Dragonskin Armors, five Dragonscale Armor and fifteen Dragonbone Plate Armor. In order to achieve this, you need to first make fifteen Dragonbone Plate Armors, then five Dragonscale Armors and finally ten Dragonskin Armors. You can make as many of each type as you want, but once you make a lighter armor, you cannot then make any heavier armor sets. The current file can be corrupted for the Xbox 360 version, if you have Wade craft you Wade's Superior Drakeskin Armor afterwards.

Note: On PC version 1.02, the order does not matter; using this exploit can create the armor in any order. On the Playstation 3 version you can craft the armors in any order you want, they will all always be available.

Note: On PC version 1.03 order still matters, if you get any lower set, then even if you select higher set, you still get only lower one.

Note: All the armor sets can be sold for around 8 Gold per set, making this exploit one of the quickest ways players can acquire infinite money.

Note: The armor sets should be sold to Gorim rather than Herren, if Warden is a Noble Dwarf, as you will get double the gold from doing so. (instead of 9Gold58Silver75Bronze you will get 19Gold17Silver50Bronze for the Plate armor set

[edit] Awakening

Wade appears also in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening, having moved to Vigil's Keep on account of Herren being paid by the monarchy to supply armor for the troops at Vigil's Keep. If the Warden-Commander speaks to Wade, he'll ask him/her to look for exotic building materials so he can "have a challenge once again" and make some excellent quality weaponry and armor. See A Master's Work for details. You can also mention the Drakescale Armor and purchase Wade's Drakeskin, Dragonskin, and Dragonbone armors from Herren, but the superior versions of each are not available.
[edit] Darkspawn Chronicles
"A human lord hunts us, Vanguard. Show him what we know of death." – The Archdemon
This article contains spoilers for Darkspawn Chronicles. Click here for information that reveals the plot and storyline.

Wade and Herren can be found at their shop during the events of Darkspawn Chronicles, however if the player attempts to attack them Herren will shapeshift into a Desire Demon and teleport the two men to parts unknown.

Activating the Legion of the Dead Relic (found in the room where you acquired the helmet in the central area) while the entire harness of armor is equipped by any party member summons the Gangue Shade, which appears to be a fairly garden-variety shade with a unique name. The armor, boots, and gauntlets can be found in various sarcophagi as you make your way towards the Anvil of the Void. Eventually you will come across a locked metal door. The door to the right of this locked metal door called an "Ominous Door", this is the room where you will find the final piece of armor for this set. The Helmet is in the altar at the far end of the room, but once you take it, you will be attacked by all of the Legion spirits in the room. (see ORZAMMAR Anvil of the void)

Donning the entire set of armor is required to initiate the Gangue Shade unmarked quest. 1. On Howe's Knight at the end of the Human Noble's story. The Knight is with the enemy mob that you fight next to the pantry. It may take 15+ tries to appear on his corpse.

FAR SONG

Far Song is a unique dragonthorn longbow in Dragon Age: Origins, one of the best ranged weapons available. It costs
0001205000
120 Gold50 Silver0 Bronze.
edit Acquisition
Far Song can be purchased from Redcliffe Village's new blacksmith, who only appears if the Warden brings blacksmith Owen bad news regarding the quest Lost in the Castle. Owen will be replaced by the new blacksmith the next time you enter the village. You are only able to bring Owen bad news after dealing with Connor.

Note that causing the blacksmith to be replaced will make certain other items (that would appear in Owen's inventory after Lost in the Castle is completed) unavailable.

GRIFFON'S BEAK

Acquired from Zathrian after siding with him in the Nature of the Beast (killing Witherfang). It is absolutely vital before you accept the quest from Zathrian to ask him for a reward for helping him kill Witherfang. If you do not ask for a reward and you eventually do kill Witherfang you will not recieve Griffon's Beak. There is no way to ask for this reward once the quest had been accepted and the log had been updated.

HEART OF WITHERFANG

Found on Witherfang's corpse at the end of the Nature of the Beast main quest if you chose to side with Zathrian and fight the Werewolves.

RARE LOOT:::

Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening use a unique system for distributing loot and balancing gameplay. Creatures maintain two potential inventory systems, an equipped inventory, and a dropped inventory. The former controls the appearance of the NPC's model(eg: armor, weapons etc) whereas the latter controls the loot yielded and available to the player upon looting the NPC's corpse.

In both games there appears to be a small, unparsed % chance of a creature/npc to drop one of more items in his equipped inventory when killed. Causing the generic dropped loot table to be dropped, along with x-item from his/her person. In many cases this results in a piece of generic armor, or a generic weapon. However, occasionally this can result in rare magic items, or even unique magic items not found anywhere else.
Notable Drops in Origins

LEGENDARY ITEMS:::

Legendary items are not just items with a unique name, they are items that would be coveted from people all over Ferelden. They are usually Tier 6 or 7 with a very high power level. Most cost over 50 Gold at stores, are discovered at the end of quest lines, or are gained from DLC. They are items that even a level 20 character would find useful and often have a corresponding codex entry.

Keening Blade
Dragonbone
Requires: 31 Strength 11.20 3.20% 4.00 1.00 +2 armor penetration

Looted from Cailan's Chest in the Return to Ostagar DLC mission.

Drakeskin
Requires: 20 Strength 1.5 1.15% +15% Critical/Backstab Damage Glistening as though drenched in blood, but dry and supple to the touch, items associated with the enigmatic Friends of Red Jenny rarely escape the group, except perhaps on the corpse of a betrayer. Restriction: Rogue
The Felon's Coat
Drakeskin
Requires: 20 Strength 9.0 2.3% +6 Dexterity

AWAKENINGS FOREWARNINGS EVEN THOUGH PLAYING ORIGINS!!!!

*****ARMOR OF THE SENTINEL FOREWARNING BUG ISSUE WITH AWAKENING INVOLVING DELETING WARDEN'S KEEP DLC FIRST BEFORE IMPORTING CHARACTER TO AWAKENING! READ THIS BEFORE STARTING AWAKENING AS WELL AS OTHER INSTRUCTIONS SIMILAR TO THIS LISTED BELOW IN REASONABLE ORDER

Image:Bug.png Bug! 360 PS3 On the console versions, the texture of of this armor will not be displayed properly if the Warden's Keep DLC is present. Instead of the black and red armor skin, the player will appear to be wearing a set of Grey Warden Commander armor, from the Warden's Keep DLC. This only happens when the armor is worn by a human, as the armor is displayed correctly on a dwarf or elf character. No patch has been made as of yet. It has also been noted that the Sentinel Helmet is black and red on a human character. But the rest of the armor set is the "Warden Commander Armor" from the Warden's Keep DLC. This is because there is no Warden Commander's helmet to conflict with. The PC version seems not to be affected by this bug.
[edit] Texture Bug Workaround

For those who have Wardens Keep installed on the console versions, you can fix this texture bug by doing the following. However, you must do this prior to importing your character into Awakening. Otherwise you will get a "Missing DLC" message when loading your character.

Instructions:

360 Simply delete Warden's Keep DLC from your Dragon Age save data on your HDD.
