People are actually trying to argue that a gamepad is superior to mouse/keyboard in an mmo?  Just no way, period.

For those using xpadder how to do you get it to work in the game?

It recognizes the controller in the xpadder set up, but in game nothing happens when I use any of the controls. Is there another step somewhere?

haha, yeah I found that but still not working. Hoping there would be a quick fix. I'll just play around with it for a little while. Thanks

Just got a little impatient, with the install, and the updates, and registering, it seems like forever to finally start playing the actual game.

Must admit I am very tempted to try, sounds great for PvE, I probably would prefer to play ranged/heal with a controller though, since I probably wont need to make as many quick turns.

Such a setup also offloads strain on your wrists from mousing all day, great for us who play pc games in the living room, im sure i can find a way to have all the hotkeys mapped nicely...its just the ''turning on a dime'' maneuver I wont be able to do, but its a small sacrifice for gaming in comfort.

What do you guys suggest for looting and talking to npcs/dialog choices, is there any way to do that with a pad? I seriously never even tried... I could always keep a wireless mouse/KB nearby for non combat stuff.

I think this can be settled very easily. Sure you "can" use a controller to play an MMO, sure maybe "some" people" are better using a controller than a keyboard to play an MMO ( I'll give you the benefit of the doubt here cause it really doesn't seem plausible ).

However there is one single reason why every MMO that has ever been tried on consoles has been a sad sad failure. Can you guess what the reason is???

If you guessed "Because you have to play a game with sh!tloads of different hotbuttons, commands, chat commands etc, etc, etc..... configured ON A CONTROLLER !!!

15 buttons I'm sure is a help, but really can we please be real for a moment, the longer you play and the more levels and skills etc... you get, the more you would suck. Is this anything to look forward to???

Xbox360 controllers have attachable keyboards. Sort of feels like a cell phone with a slide-out qwerty keyboard.

Exactly so this isn't really a keyboard and mouse vs. Controller debate at all. It's a keyboard and mouse vs. keyboard and controller debate.

And since my keyboard sits right next to my mouse , I'd say thjat makes playing a lot easier and more accessible witha KB&M than this other skullduggery.

Wow I don't know if I've ever used the word skullduggery before in a actual sentence but it just seems to fit when discussing playing MMO's with a controller. LOL

But hey bottom line is, to each their own play however you like, but that won't stop most of us from telling you we think you are silly.
