What's that? An apology? Ow, if you insist, I'll accept it.

Apology for what exactly?

"I don't think anything has changed with regard to that general summary..."

Is what he ends the answer to the question. Pretty much saying 500k would be okay, and 1mil+ great. Guess what they are at 1mil+.

Uh, 1.3 million isn't bad 6 months into it's lifespan. No MMO holds onto the initial amount.

Yup, WoW lost tons of subs after 6 months.

Oh wait.

The way I see it is, if the combat isn't fluid, don't bother. SWTOR's combat is lackluster and because of that I couldn't give a rats behind about anything else.

WoW, D3, Guild Wars 2. Let's rock this joint baby.

So the only valid comparison is to the wildly successful one? Any game needs WoW-like numbers to survive? OK.

This is what they get for not making KOTOR 3.

They will make far more from Swtor than any single player title.

And from current trends this game is losing more and more subs so...

Actualy, a million people dropped. When it had sold 1.76 million, it had 1.7 million subs. At the end of February, it has 1.2 million of those 2.2 (through the end of February) million sales.

It also has all 100K of the 100K March sales in the subscriber number.

So, 1.2 million of 2.2 million. 1.3 million of 2.3 million. Either way you cut it, SWTOR set a new record. Biggest loss of subs in one quarter for an MMO. Ever.

So much for teasing the WoW fanboys. I wonder if they're going to clue into it? Surely there must be a CPA or two worth a damn in that population. I mean, it's so obvious it screams.

Sales go up. Subs go down. The difference is the churn -- 45% who bought dropped the game in 70 days. Hoo-yah!

A couple weeks before the annual report comes out and they offer a free month for current subscribers with a level 50/Legacy 6, AND releases the game in more areas of the world. EA's marketing team doesn't lie, but they can sure manipulate the truth to their advantage.

Remember folks, you must have an active credit card, time card, or other payment option in order to play the game, even if you're on your 30 days of free game time. And just having a payment option active counts as being a subscriber.
