If SWTOR added "Battlefront"-esque gameplay, would you resub?

I think I would.

It's a shame battlefront 3 hasn't been released.

I still play Battlefront 2 online...

That would actually be pretty sick, but they'd need cross server PVP first to even think about larger battles like that. 16 or 24 per side battles with AI troops too...

Waaay far in the future, if ever, but its certainly not a stretch.

Nope. Like with Tera, combat doesn't make an MMO good. I like the combat just fine, it's the lifeless static worlds and questing(loved the voice acting, but the quest were garbage) that drove me away.

Bethesda... what has become of you?

Thats actually a very good point. I tried TERA during the beta and early access trial and I liked the combat and thats about it. With the boring quests and lack of story I knew it wouldn't hold me for long and wasn't worth teh purchase, let alone a subscription.

If what I really wanted was great combat, I would play single player RPG's like Dark Souls, The Witcher, or Kingdoms of Amalur. But there's so much more to an MMO than the combat system, which the example of TERA proves.

Before I go on, does anyone else hope that the next Battlefront game is set in the TOR era? Specifically during the Great War? You have fairly even sides technology-wise, so it wouldn't be hard to balance. Best of all, both sides have equal amounts of Force users, so it would allow them to include a Jedi class/setup.

In any case, I would argue that at least two of their PvP maps have mechanics that are fairly similar to Battlefront's "capture and hold" style of play: Alderaan and Novare Coast. It doesn't deduct resource points (or whatever) for casualties, but that doesn't change the mechanic that much.
Unless you mean a Star Wars theme MMOFPS. In that case . . . well, yes and no. I would be interested in a game like that (provided it came out on consoles) but I wouldn't be as gung-ho about it as I am with TOR.

Also, again going off topic a bit, but does anybody wonder if they could make a DotA/LoL/MoBA style match work? You would essentially escort waves of troops in attacking the enemy base. Monday Night Combat managed to replicate it quite well in an FPS, so I believe it could work with an RPG.

If it's any consolation, my guild has dubbed Novare Coast: "Call of Duty" map.

I've been thinking about this for a while. Definitely would be a cool idea and a neat new way of PVP.

I too thought this would be a great idea if theycould implement it. Think about it this way, the "nexus" or "money ball" (lol) would be the heart of each flagship that each team starts on. Them you have to land a party on a destroyer in the way or so on. They could really make some epic pvp battles with this type of theme.
