I got an email saying in big letters "YOU HAVE FREE CARTEL COINS BECAUSE YOU'RE A PREFERED PLAYER" and all that jazz, only to read in smaller print that I have to resubscribe to get it. (Which isn't going to happen).

So are there any other major differences?

Yeah you have limited amounts of space battles, warzones, and you cannot do the operations, you can still do hard mode flashpoints. If you pay per month you get these default features back.

You might try checking the link Pulp posted to see why you're mostly wrong there.



Also, something not mentioned at that link regarding returning subs that have dropped to Preferred is that they still get to keep all the various Legacy unlocks/perks they had gained as a subscriber. And yes, that includes species unlocks. Also, any inventory and cargohold unlocks that were purchased are also retained on the characters that had them.
