Heya i'm debating between the lesser of two evils money wise.

i'm want to know would it be better to do a sub for 2 months

or just buy like 5500 Cartel points and just buy most of the features they locked out.

i'm leaning toward the Cartel sence i dont plan to resub after those two months. but can i buy those features for credits i earn during those two months?

(note i have 3 Level 50s so levelings not the issue and i dont care about endgame in this)

By subbing you get extra cartel points at the end of each month; but I don't know that the things you "unlock" by subbing will all stay unlocked once you switch.

Let me be clear: a la carte purchases (ie: F2P only, using cartel coins) is not an option for anyone. No matter how much you spend, you will always be behind the subscription player. EA has basically set it up so that it's subscribe or **** off.

If you don't plan to play end game, don't care about the Op/Wz/XP/Valor/Loot/etc limitations, then sure I guess, buy a few cartel coins to unlock the UI. If you spend anymore than $5 though, you are just chucking money away.

The things you can buy with credits when subbed like bank size, inventory size, etc all stay on your character once you go back to F2P account.

I don't know about the December part, but yes that will be true. Be it December or later, I imagine that once the character slots are actually available for purchase on the Cartel Market you'll lose access to all but the two you choose, until you pay for slots to access the rest.

Preferred with some things unlocked through cartel store is still very limited as it costs way too much to unlock everything, and some things cannot be bought with cartel coins or credits:

- character slots (!)
- removal of gold cap (you are unable to buy things costing more than 350k)
- rest xp (and for regular xp rate you would need to buy XP boost all the time)
- lower vendor costs, lower augment and mod removal costs
- no respec cost
- Flashpoints, warzones and operations cost too much to unlock every week, you might as well sub to get the other benefits
