It worked just fine at my old apt idk what's wrong now and the people at comcast told me to check the ps site. That didn't help and neither did googling the error code. I posted a topic on the ps3 online board but its pretty dead.

Yeah, and once you plug it back in, wait another minute. --- If you believe in Jesus Christ , have accepted him as your Lord and Savior, and are 100% proud of it, put this in your sig.

In addition, make sure your DNS numbers are set to auto or google for "comcast DNS numbers" and select some that are close to you.

Comcast's customer service is downright ****. Don't expect a lot of help when you call them.

Maybe I'm using the wrong IP address? They used a friends laptop to set everything up and mine is broken. I don't remember setting the ip address on my ps3.

did you go through the internet connection settings in your ps3? You might have to redo that. --- "the jerk store called, and they're running out of you"

Are you using wireless? Usually DNS errors dont matter. If you go to test connection, as long as you're internet connection is successful, you can get online. I can teach you a way to use the wired connection, which is really good.

Yup changed the settings to the numbers the laptop gave me. I'm about to google the comcast dns #s
