http://www.gamingunion.net/news/motomu-toriyama-shares-his-thoughts-on-the-3rd-birthday--3338.html
"It was with the desire to spend Christmas with Aya that I joined The 3rd Birthday project. At last, the day where that desire will be fulfilled has come."

And yet, you screw up the whole game with stupid time travel and ridiculously unlikeable character.

"Toriyama assures long time Parasite Eve fans that the concepts of a "snowy New York" and "a story that begins with a blood covered wedding dress" still remains intact. However, he has made a few adjustments to the scenario, gearing it towards a more mature audience with plot developments filled with "astonishing" mystery!"

"a few adjustments" eh? and for the "astonishing mystery"? you mean stupid body and soul thing that screw up the parasite eve franchise?

"In the area of visuals, it's been made with such quality that it would be just fine to show it on a high def screen. The scary scenes will make you tremble, the sexy scenes will get your heart pumping. The hands holding your PSP will definitely shake with tension."

There's you go folks, "the sexy scenes will get your heart pumping". Toriyama was doing it for the godam fan services all this time and I wonder is there even any "scary scene" in this game? and the tension of holding PSP? more like the tension that I want to break that piece of s**t in front of you.(no offense, for those who love the game.)

"There's just a bit of time remaining until 12/22. Everyone, please spend some time with Aya this Christmas."

Sure, without this game of course.

And speaking of Christmas, is coming soon (after halloween) also for that failure of "final fantasy rhythm" coming out. I would glad to see Toriyama kill himself or freeze to death on street after his company crashed just like what happen in the ending of this game.

It's not like that's new news, look at PE2's shower scene and how she dressed in PE1. It's pretty blatant in both previous titles. I'll reserve my judgment on the Theatrhythm FF game till more is shown about it.

Kind of extreme to say, don't you think? I get you don't like it at all, and most of us on here don't care for it's story either but that's still going pretty far. Besides, if anything was going to sink the company, it would have been FFXIV, not this game.

The 3rd Birthday was "completely" dedicate to fan services while PE2 was only playing a little fun and compare to the 3rd birthday, T3B is much more offensive to showing sexiness or should I say "sickness?". Toriyama deserve what tragic that happens to Eve in the end and that why is not extreme, because he deserves it while Eve don't. Think about if Hitler was replaced by Toriyama.
P.S. FF Theatrhythm is cheap, lazy final fantasy music game that rips off Elite Beat Agent.

I'd only seen the one brief trailer of it so I don't know much more than that it's some kind of rhythm game. Still, as far as T3B goes yeah, it's pretty much a fan-service game, I don't think SE was hiding that with all the screenshots of the costumes. I'm guessing you're not a fan of that in games then?

I was only for the story as a parasite eve fan I was. I thought the story still could be good even with a few fan services.

Fair enough, and it can be both, depends on the writers for the story part of course. But yeah...we've all seen how this game turned out in that department.

Dire dire dire *shakes head*

We get your dislike of the story (god do we get it, you only remind us every week), but stop bringing it out every chance you get, and stop saying such extreme things. SERIOUSLY MAN, you make PaladinCecil look good. In other words, just shut up about it, JUST SHUT UP ABOUT IT.

"You make PaladinCecil look good."

Okay, so you want me to come back here, don't you? If you're going to take the months I spent arguing against this garbage of a game and try to spin it in such a way in my absence, I'm going to start posting again.

I check back here every so often in hopes that some announcement will be made that a new game that retcons this trash out of existence and does it right is being made. So far, there's only partially good news in that Square-Enix seems to not want to talk much about this game anymore, but that's the typical response this horrible company takes toward cases where they know they screwed up hard. Instead of actually cleaning up the messes they make and rebuilding good will in the fans they angered over stuff like this, they decide to pretend it never happened.

As far as I'm concerned, this is the video game company equivalent (with all its not-as-serious-as-real-world-consequences elements to it) of the U.S. government denying that blacks were ever slaves in the United States. Or a little more on the nose, a rapist refusing to acknowledge they raped someone despite irrefutable evidence. Instead of trying to make what amends they can, the rapist acts like they never did it and hopes everyone will just forgive and forget.

Considering the last time SE retconned a game that hard was...never? You're going to be waiting for a very long time.

@Paladin: I meant he makes it easier for me to understand where you're coming from. At least with you I am able to understand your logic.

By the way, that US government denying blacks thing isn't a good metaphor, that's more on the lines of taking back that they admitted that blacks were once slaves. That's kind of what you're wanting SE to do by retconning its existance. I'd rather they accept it being there, not attempting to retcon it, and keep how bad the story was in mind the next time they attempt to revive an old IP. Because if you forget the past, you're going to repeat the same mistakes, which is something none of us want.

And about the rapist metaphor, that doesn't work too well either, but that's because the only reasons why a rapist would refuse to acknowledge he himself raped somebody is either because the rapist is crazy, or because the supposed rape was actually statutory (which teenagers can get filed charges for even if BOTH teenagers were underage).

I do understand your frustration at a series you love getting a new part of it, only for the part to completely and utterly suck. But that's because I felt Star Wars Episode 3 was a travesty to the Star Wars series (episode 2 was close, but was just barely above the line), and I'm a big Star Wars fan.
