@ Xeedragon: Sorry for forgetting to comment this: Yes, it's Aya's conscience/soul. She is able to communicate with Eve because Eve is inside Aya's body. I mean, Aya uses her own mithocondria in order to talk to Eve, but she disappears after that because she is a ghost.
Ah, that makes sense. Though maybe Aya resides in the DNA of her old body?
