I have seen some tutorial but they are unclear. Can anyone post a step by step(more or less) guide on what i need, and how and where to install it?

join the club. I followed the guides exactly and it just causes my game to crash at start up if i try to run simple native trainer.

Me too. The instructions make no sense and I'm having the impression that magic patch only works with 1.0.2.0?? If I'm sounding really stupid hear, feel free to correct me...

Damn....does no one here really know how to do this? *sigh*

First, you'll need Alexander Blade's ASI loader, though this on it's own on the newest patch won't work alone.

More important, you'll need the File Check Fix, so you can edit GTA IV's files without the game giving you any trouble.

If for some reason that file check fix doesn't work, you should delete the first one and substitute it with this one:

As for a trainer, I highly recommend this one, which works in-game by pressing F3.

I've been using that ASI loader, the first listed File Check Fix, and the Simple Trainer on my 1.04 patched GTA, so I hope that you don't run into any problems.

I suppose I should mention that all those files go in the main GTA IV folder. Don't need any more confusion I guess.

Thank you! Will this all work with 1.04? You said the first link can't work alone.

Alexander's ASI Loader still works on 1.04, it just needs the file check fix.

You could always try reinstalling the game and trying again, but considering how long that takes it might not be worth it. If it keeps happening over and over, you're probably one of the unlucky few that simply can't get it to work.
