Is there a trainer or cheat to set custom money?

I seem to have hit a glitch and suddenly have billions of dollars. I'm trying to find a way to reset it to where it belongs. But all the cheats I can find just say they will add money, not subtract or alter it.

A little late for a response, but there is only 1 way to reduce money that I can think of without searching. There is a mod that lets you actually use the atm machines around the game. You could just dump all the money into it and never touch it.

Like Dragonspawn said, it may be a bit late for a response, but I know something that will work.

Download Cheat Engine. http://www.cheatengine.org/

Then get a GTA IV Table.http://forum.cheatengine.org/viewtopic.php?t=526007

Using this, you can set just about any stat to whatever you want. You can change your money, shots fired, total kills, cars stolen, times you've gone bowling with Roman... whatever is in the menus when you pause.

I don't know if you'll see this at this point (even though it's only been like a week), but I hope that it's what you were looking for. =D

Cool, you just solved my problem with an un-finishable mission. I've been stuck on the first jimmy pegoroni mission because my car mod keeps destroying his stupid tribute on top of the vehicle without me even doing anything.

Nevermind that's way too confusing and it looks like it only changes the stats themselves.

The cheat engine table really isn't that hard to use at all. It looks like it at first, but it's simple if you just take some time.

First, launch cheat engine via that GTA table. Then launch GTA 4 itself and ALT+TAB to the desktop. Go to the table and in the upper left is an icon that looks like an old PC. Click it and it will tell you to select a program. Select GTA 4 and choose to keep the table that is already active. Then just go into the table and find the stat you want to change. For money, just find "current money" or whatever it is called in your "general stats" tab (in the actual in-game stats menu) and then click on the current value and change it to what you want. Go back into the game and the changes should already have taken place.

For that mission, I really don't know. Maybe change off your car mod for now? That or look into this. It might help, but I can't really say for certain.

Sorry, I know that the page is huge. There are plenty of instructions though, and the download links are at the bottom.

I hope you get that mission working, I was just stuck on it myself (with the game glitching/crashing and all too). If you try any of that and still need help, just ask. I'll try to help if I can. =D

TLDR on that link sorry. But I got past it regardless. I just found a save file that was saved just after that mission. I didn't revert the car mod because I wasn't sure what car they were driving, and I have 90 something cars installed.
