I can't get my controller to work with this game. Does it only work with a 360 controller? The keyboard/mouse driving controls are awful and I can't stand it. If it only works with the 360 controller is there some mod/program allowing other controllers? --- The official Ghoul of the Shin Megami Tensei IV board
what exact controller are you trying to use? i think you need to use a newer xbox360 like controller with XInput because most older pc controller used directinput. --- i still haven't found what i'm looking for...
bind your controller's buttons and analog axis with the program and put the files in the same folder as your games executable. The games will detect your controller as a 360 controller. --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pUAZnjFbOyI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbxOaq6_i1Y
I use my PS3 controller. I hook up to my tower with the USB charging cable and for the controller drivers I use MotionJoy (highly recommend this program if you want to use the PS3 controller on your PC). I think you have to emulate the 360 controller, but MotionJoy does this with no problems.
motioninjoy is horrible you could use this instead which is what i use although i only use my DS3 on emulators. forums.pcsx2.net/Thread-XInput-Wrapper-for-DS3-and-Play-com-USB-Dual-DS2-Controller --- i still haven't found what i'm looking for...
my wired 360 controller was automatically recognized by the game after windows installed its driver automatically . Just make sure the controller is plugged in BEFORE you start the game otherwise i doubt it will work
After a lot of frustration I managed to get motionjoy operational with my PS3 controller. The latest version (7.001 or something) does everything including vibration. Essentially feels like you're playing on a console. --- Today was tomorrow yesterday.
