lolor1Posted 10/30/2009 9:37:58 PM | This is really starting to get on my nerves, whenever there is ANY text rendering to be done in the game it slows down. Just a simple 3 line description slows it to 30fps from 70fps+. A 4 line mid game message from another player brings it down to 10Fps!!!. Once I start taking over a few planets wham! performance goes down. I have contacted both Ironclad and ATi and none of them seem to come up with anything useful.
My specs are:
2GB DDR2
Windows 7 (Same problem on Vista cause I tried it and my friend runs Vista with Sins fine)
HD 4850
E4300 1.8GHz @ 2.25GHz
I have tried different fonts and they are even slower.
I have tried different drivers (3 in fact)
I have tried different graphics settings (EVERYTHING on lowest and same thing)
Anything to do with text rendering slices my fps! Other games run fine.
I have tried sooooooo many things it is not funny.
Has anyone got any ideas cause I am out of ideas. |
