WiFi FAQ

This FAQ is posted to help people understand WiFi and its many uses. This is the Second Version, which will hopefully answer more possible questions.

How do I use the WiFi feature?

You need some type of Wireless access so you can access this portion of the game. If you don't have any, do not worry, this is NOT needed to play the game, it is just an addition.

When you can access WiFi.

Spring 17, Year 1. Felix comes by and tells you about it and how to use it.

Where to find your Friend Code.

Go to Multiplayer on the main startup page of HM: Grand Bazaar. Then, go to Nintendo WFC and let it connect to your wireless source. Afterwards, go to your Friend Roster and your Friend Code should be at the top, along with 30 slots for you to put others Friend Codes.

The information needed for WiFi.

You have to give your Friend Code, Character Name, and Farm Name.

How many people can play at once?

4 total people can play. 1 Host and 3 Guests.

How do I get on?

Go Multiplayer, then Nintendo WFC. Choose if you're hosting or visiting. If hosting, you'll need to press "Start Game" when all the people you want to come are listed. If visiting, you'll need to choose who to visit, then wait for them.

How do I sell things on WiFi?

You place items for sale at the Bazaar BEFORE visiting a person. Look at the "Select Bazaar Items" section in Nintendo WFC. I recommend selling things at half price to be nice. You can buy things from other peoples Bazaar stands.

Where/When are you when you appear and how do you leave?

Where: You appear in the Hotel, where Stuart tells you what's going on. You leave by returning to the Hotel and talking to Stuart. He'll place you in a Waiting Room, where you wait for everyone else to come so you can all leave.

When: You are at the 1st of the season for whatever season the host is on.

Is there anything I really NEED to do?

Yes. You need to water your crops or they will wilt/die in your game. You can do this for a few days until the crops are ready to be harvested and let everyone in the Multiplayer get some crops.

More to come. Please do NOT post anything.

What can you mainly do?

1. You can check out each others farms, crops, and signs.

2. You can also gather any crops that are ready. My test with 1 other person showed that you all can gather all of the crops showing. It's NOT a free-for-all, where everyone is out for themselves. This is a good way to gather ALOT of crops rather fast, especially if you have 4 people with ready crops. Switch between farms when you're done harvesting one. Example: If there are 25 crops at each person's farm, you can ALL gather 25 crops from each farm, equalling 100 for everyone, which is nice to take back to your Bazaar for some really quick cash.

3. You can stay at a farm and take care of it for a few days. When the harvest comes in, you can ALL get every piece of crop that's ready. Example: Take 2 game days in Multiplayer and harvest on day 3. *Some crops may take a longer amount of time to pass...that was just an example*

4. You may be able to Snowboard and Skateboard, but you probably need these items in order to do this. I believe you get the Snowboard in Winter and the Skateboard is purchased after you have the Snowboard.

5. You can check and compare records, like Animal Bouncing, Snowboarding, etc.

6. You can jump in the water to gather items, just like normal. Be careful with your stamina though.

7. You can speak with the townspeople.

8. HIDE AND SEEK!!!!! Seriously, this could be really fun with 4 people. I suggest the Host be it to begin things. Also, everyone stay in the same spot. No running around please...unless you're playing Tag or something :)

9. CHAT: You can chat with everyone at once. Press "SELECT" to open the Chat Menu and type away. It is small, so you may have to hit "ENTER" a few times to get what your saying out there. The Messages appear at the bottom of the top screen, but they are kind of fast.

How do days pass?

They pass like normal. However, around 4-5 a.m. it forces you to go to bed, where you can choose to keep playing or stop. You can quickly go to the next day by talking to Stuart at the Hotel and have everyone go to bed, where you will all be prompted to Continue playing or Quit. If you Continue, crops may be ready to be harvested.

*You could easily begin a MP game, water all the crops, then go to bed, then Continue, and check the crops for harvesting/watering. If they need to be watered, just do that and go to bed again. Keep doing that for alot of harvests very quickly.*

What about Stamina?

You can regain stamina by going to bed (progressing 1 day), eating fish you catch, eating any crops harvested, and by bringing your own stuff to eat.

You cannot regain stamina by using the restroom, bathroom, or kitchen. You can't use them.

Your Bag

Make sure to leave room in your bag for things you come across, like crops, etc.

Animals

They do NOT show up during WiFi play. Sorry.

Collecting things

The only things I'm currently aware of that you can collect are crops and things you find from jumping in the water. I haven't noticed any bugs or things laying on the ground.

What happens if I disconnect?

The game states that it could corrupt your save file. I haven't and don't plan on trying it. I suggest you do the same. Now, I've been knocked off, but nothing happened. I wouldn't recommend doing it though, since there is a chance of something bad. If you purposefully disconnect, I don't know what will happen.

Please Request a Sticky and Have Fun :)

*This link can help with Grand Bazaar as a whole. As of this posting it has not been completed, but it's still quite useful. Also, as of this posting, you navigate with the Windmill in the top right...it's kind of annoying at times...hope they change it*
