Didja score the ring before you went down? I guess that's the bigger question.

I got the Purple Flame Shield and (I think) a Flame Resistance ring, if I remember correctly. Is this the ring you're referring to? It looked like there were maybe two, possibly three more pickups closer to the dragon but I didn't try for them before I quit for the night.

Razzarock: @ guru

I just finished 1-1. But what is 2-1? Do I access that one from the same stone as 1-1 (= where u start where u killed phalanx) or is that another stone of entry?

thanks

If you continue from where you killed Phalanx then it's 1-2.

2-1 is the next stone portal clockwise from where 1-1 portal is in the Nexus.

I was talking about the one all the way at the end under the greenish dragon's tail.
I heard it boosts the amount of wieght you can equip without slowing down... would be great for me since I can barely handle my plate armor, axe, and shield right now.

You mean the Herculean Strength one? I got that one using the tip found right here in the TC's post and it wasn't near near the dragon. I got it in the Nexus from the stockpile guy. If there's a different strength ring you're referring to then I can I say no, I didn't get it.

First a side note, don't confuse the Ring of Great Strength with the Ring of Herculean Strength. Great Strength is under the dragon's tail and gives +50% Equip Weight, which helps with rolling while wearing armor. Herculean Strength is just for inventory weight, so you don't lose an item forever by trying to pick up something that is too heavy for you.

The worlds are ordered as follows, note these are the Asian version translations:
1 - Boletaria Palace
2 - Stonefang Tunnel
3 - Latria Tower
4 - Shrine of Storms
5- Valley of Defilment

The worlds are further broken down by boss archstones. Thus 2-2 becomes Stonefang Tunnel when starting from the Armored Spider Archstone. 2-3 becomes Stonefang starting from the Flamelurker Archstone. World 1 goes to 1-4 while the others go to x-3.

To regain your body:
*Beat a boss in your game.
*Help someone beat a boss in their game as a Blue Phantom.
*Kill someone else in their game as a Black Phantom.
*Use a Stone of Ephemeral Eyes. These can be farmed from the Plague Babies and BP Giant Goblins in the Valley of Defilement.

Might as well break down the Eyestones:
Blueeye Stone: leave your mark in soul form for another player to summon you into their game.
Found: Talk to the Maiden in Black after speaking to the Monumental, just after beating Phalanx

Whiteeye Stone: return to your own game when summoned as Blue Phantom or invading as a Black Phantom
Found: Same as above.

Blackeye Stone: use in soul form to invade another player's game, kill them to regain your body
Found: beat any generic AI controlled NPC Black Phantom, the easiest is the Thief blocking the boss of 3-1, you can't miss her.

Redeye Stone: use to offer challenge for a duel for soul level, you'll be summoned in Black Phantom form, loser drops one soul level and the winner earns souls equal to the number given to the Maiden in Black for the lost soul level
Found: get the bad ending, Freke will explain it to you as I want to avoid major spoilers here

Remember to keep below 50% Equip Weight if you want to roll fast, and you want to roll fast. The Ring of Great Strength under the Blue Dragon in the Dragon's Roost in 1-1 boosts equipment weight by 50% when equipped. This is handy for the Knights, who wear heavier armor.

This is the item I'm gunning for.

hey i got a question about weapons....i know you say compound longbow is the best when upgraded does it

A) beat the white bow all upgraded

B) i liked using a regular longbow because of its looks, but does that mean theres no merit in using a winged spear compared to a spear, a heavy crossbow instead of a light, etc?
