glimmer98Posted 6/17/2009 6:12:14 PM | Is it true that in this version of the game, throwing a yellow Pikmin holding a bomb rock and then whistling at it doesn't cause it to drop the bomb? I played the hell out of the Gamecube version and was considering getting this(mostly because I'd at least assume the glitches from the original are fixed), but that really messes up my strategies at a lot of places, particularly the final boss... --- I forgot how to change my sig and now it's stuck like this! |
marioman87Posted 6/18/2009 3:32:43 PM | Yeah, it's true. But I think it's more of a blessing then a curse. --- I'm on the Soul Silver Society. |
Koopa_Troopa92Posted 6/19/2009 8:05:50 PM | I wish 1 would have the Yellow pikmin drop bomb rocks, in fact 1 does nothing. |
Love_2_LaughPosted 6/22/2009 10:15:42 PM | Wait, then does that mean that Yellow Pikmin will always die from their bomb rock explosions? --- 2006 + 2008 = Year of the 360 2007 + 2009 = Year of the Wii |
UnityPosted 6/23/2009 12:34:19 PM | No, they throw the rocks and run away -- if the path isn't blocked. --- Currently playing: Persona 3, Flower Shop. |
Koopa_Troopa92Posted 6/24/2009 1:29:28 PM | You could Kamikaze run Bulborbs as a Yellow Pikmin carrying a bomb rock gets eaten it will take out a lot of health. |

I did this against the Emperor Bulborb. For the battle, I had 100 pikmin, a lot of them yellow. At the end, I had maybe 3, one of my last pikmin delivering the final blow just before he could have died.
I love my pikmin, but I just could not do that battle any other way. --- Epic. |
