inb4 "Xin wasn't OP, I'm so High ELO that Xin ain't on my level and I know how to pwn him in any situation."

Seriously you guys who constantly say he isn't OP are annoying.

First of all Riot actually admitted themselves that he is OP. Second if you're such high elo you're probably playing mostly ranked games when he's banned. Third, if you're not, and you know the secret is to just "not feed him" that just proves that you'll fear even getting close to him. You'll end up turret hugging while he's slashing away at your minions getting extra gold, exp, AND healing, and because he's op, you'll be scared to attack even if you are close to your turret.

He was OP, but not unstoppable.

I'd disagree and say he wasn't even OP. Riot mentioned that his ult did too much damage, but that's about it. The problem I see here is that people don't know how to deal with him. It just seems that people are too stupid to realize that 1v1 he is a threat and just whine OP after he solos them.

Have you seen anyone 1v1 Warwick recently? No, because people KNOW that 1v1'ing WW is a bad idea. Honestly, Xin is no different then the old Pantheon. They both had an extremely powerful early game, which could potentially snowball into a solid late game. But what happens after that? Xin's abilities scale with no stats whatsoever (except his dash, which scales with AP). His late game is pretty weak unless he stacks attack speed + madreds, but under those conditions hes still as squishy as any other melee and will die FAST to focus fire.

Don't 1v1 Xin early game.
Don't stand in a tight group during teamfights.
Any forms of melee-hate CC work wonders on him. (even though his Q hits, his W wont refresh cooldowns i believe).

He's no different then any other melee carry IMO, except the fact that his early game is terrifying to those who aren't experienced to playing against him.

Unless you're one of the couple dozen or so champions that destroy WW.

Anyone with armor will eat Xin, even before his nerf. People didn't realize that ALL of his abilities were reduced by armor.

the thing about xin was that his early game was awesome which snowballed into his awesome mid game and awesome late game.

Xin was OP not necessarily because of how hard he was to fight but because of his many possible uses and that a good deal of what he could do was what other champions could, but better. The single most outstanding thing about him was that his E was essentially Akali's Ultimate ability but AoE with a decent slow tacked on. Certainly he couldn't spam it every 2 seconds (albeit she had a limit of 3 times per burst with a 45-60 CD if she did burst them all) or so but with Battle Cry and some decent AS he could come pretty close.

His passive is a (vastly) toned down WW passive which helped him jungle more easily than most champions. His staple Three Talon Strike is an increase in damage for three attacks followed by a CC, which can again be spammed to hell with battle cry in the mix. That brings us once again to his Battle Cry which is a pretty weak passive IAS but is doubled (right or did I imagine that on the tooltip?) with activation and gives him massive CDR on his three abilities with already less than hardcore CD's. His Ultimate maybe wasn't too powerful (Riot disagreed) but the big thing about it was that it's short cooldown was made even shorter by his Battle Cry.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, it's not (necessarily) that he was too difficult to fight or auto-rolled face it's that he could chase effectively, deal burst damage, deal sustained damage, jungle fairly well from start to finish, could lane like a beast, could dive fairly reliably, etc. A great deal of other Champs just can't do nearly as much making him way too effective (i.e. overly powerful).

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. I'm very tired right now and might not be thinking clearly. Gawd damn mornings.

He was OP as crap early game, just like Pantheon was. Except Pantheon was much, much easier shut down with a wider range of champs.

Both were balanced at a very high level but who cares. Nobody should be facerolling their way to high elo with OP as crap champs.
