As in the decorating style of the columns right?

It was Ionic, Doric (or w/e it's called in English, the heavier style) and another one IIRC.

That's so not what happened. Ionia was a Greek colony of sorts in the so called "Little Asia" aka the coasts of today's Turkey.

I'm Greek, so...

So you're saying the ionians didn't attempt to revolt and athens didn't lend them aid just to have the revolt fail and the Persians to attack at marathon to show the Greeks the "error" of their ways and the Greeks didn't push back the Persians making them realize they can defeat the Persians?

There's actually a Donald Duck comic depicting that very moment in History.

EDIT: Which means it really happened.

I'm saying Ionia was never in the mainland of Greece. Look it up. Battle of Marathon took place in Marathon, which is in the mainland.

I never said it was in the mainland of Greece
EDIT: I stated that the Ionian revolt at which the Athenians lent their aid lead to the Battle of Marathon. I never said the Battle of Marathon was the Ionian revolt
EDIT2: I was using the Battle of Marathon as a link to Ionia because it is more well known than the revolt
