I've been running a hardcore flat-AP quint/scaling AP everything else setup for the last while, but now I'm considering changing things up a bit.
So, you guys, What's a better generic setup for the common AP mid? Y'know, for those times where I pick Kat or something. --- "To this day, I'm not sure how a grizzly bear manages to sneak into my fort and steal my beer."

Assuming this isn't a troll post: -Magic Pen marks -Armor/mana regen seals -Magic resistance (flat)/ap/cool down reduction glyphs -Flat AP/Move speed quints. Or, if you want something a little more unusual, gold/10 glyphs. --- Tired of photobucket and imageshack? Ask me about dropbox.

I have about 10 pages I use for AP mid lol, look at my profile.
I run; Magic pen reds Mana regen/AP per level yellows Split runes, half magic resist, half AP per level/half flat AP blues. This is so I don't start with flat 30 magic resist. AP/MS quints.
My TF/LeBlanc page I just have Magic pen reds, Flat AP quints and Flat AP everything else. This is because; TF doesn't gain damage at level 6 so per level runes don't make sense, and with LeBlanc I try to kill them pre-6. --- http://www.youtube.com/TimMH3 LoL IGN: SlipperyGooch. http://i.imgur.com/yDgAM.jpg Lee Sin is mai wai- um...
