Why are Korean gamers so ridiculously good?

Like I feel as if there is a giant gap. I'm not trying to stereotype or anything, but they just seem to always be on a whole other level compared to their competition. Is it something to do with the culture?

They take competitive games more seriously is all, and culture probably has to do with it as well.

Culturally, it's a lot more acceptable to be a pro gamer in South Korea and practice hours per day. There might also be a stronger cultural willingness to work together as a machine and put aside egos, but I can't support that as well.

And they wear awesome police uniforms all the time, apparently.

This. Korean work ethic is something that can only be understood by those who have experienced it. You get up at 4-5am to get ready for work, and often finish at around 1-2am.
