Why do so many people fight over top?

Is it because it is the least important/easiest lane and people are lazy?

It's a contest to see who can feed the Darius/Teemo/Jax the hardest.

Solo top champs are the most fun to play. Besides Ezreal.

You're pretty spot on.

Bot is bloodbath lane
Mid is playmaker's playground
Jungle is the hunter
Top is an island

Because (from my perspective) I like playing melee/bruiser characters in video games. Rengar, Jayce, Jax (for example) are three characters I love so I'm always hoping to get to go top.

Yeh I'd say people generally fight more for mid in my games. People want that solo carry lane.

So when your still farming after 20 minutes and your team is losing 4v5 you can call them noob and ask the enemy team to report them for feeding.
