Still really stupid. The real questions any fan of the competitive scene should be asking is
"Wtf are you guys going to do to make sure it no longer happens? What are you going to do about the players hearing possible snippets of the commentating through their headsets?

That's actually already been addressed somewhere I think.

And I also think it's safe to assume they'll be taking measures against it happening in the future.

Just my opinion.

Pretty sure they took down the previously visible minimaps. For you to say it is still really stupid is a bit hyperbolic.

I have a new signature. This isn't it.

All they need is some booths with the sides covered to ensure they can't see anything above/behind/to the side. Sitting out in the open like they were was not thought out very well.

It really is still stupid. They're sitting in open air. If they're focused on something and the commentators see something and the fans scream about it allowing the players to hear it the players' attention will be brought to the minimap and their surroundings and a possible gank or ward placement or something critical that normally might have gone on without response is now being responded to thanks to the crowd cheering. It could be anything, small things to big things to things the players would've normally caught anyway to things the players might not have caught to things that they might have caught too late, ANYTHING.

Riot has said nothing about fixing this. Why do you think Starcraft is played in a booth. Fans scream when they see a drop and a player that might have not been paying attention might have missed it. But they hear a scream, know something is up, and check the minimap. How are you going to argue that the player just didn't see it by chance or skill on the minimap against hearing the cue from the fans? It's really unprofessional of Riot to not have something in place to stop this.

Player is focused on attacking and on a push. A gank is about to happen, he doesn't pay attention or worry about that. Fans gasp and scream because camera focuses on a gank about to happen. Player hears this, player begins moving back and because of that extra time he had he survives the gank.

How are you going to prove he cheated? How are you going to prove he heard it? How are you going to prove he didn't hear it? How are you going to argue game sense vs cheating vs experience?
