How much honor of one type do you need to get the little ribbon thing?

The numbers aren't set. If one person keeps honoring you their honor value diminishes, preventing friends from stuffing your account.
Opinions are like asses; everybody has one.

It's as of yet unclear, just play nice and good and you'll get it/them.

You need to get them in a certain frame of time, and if you don't get honored for quite some time, you can lose a ribbon, so it's not set in stone.

It is a ratio. You have to be honored in some percentage of your games.

It's a hidden value. When someone gives honor, they give the flat "this is how many times you've received this honor" value but also a hidden number that's based on the person's honor-giving habits. The more honor you give, the less this hidden value is worth and the less you give, the more it's worth. The ribbons appear when you hit a certain benchmark with the hidden value, not when you receive honor so many times.

tl;dr there's no exact number of honor you need, you just need to be honored by the right people
