I still love Dyrus for his voice.

You love incredibly monotone voices? I bet you like Ben Stein and listening to lectures in school as well.

So...there's a public outcry and need for someone to apologize because that someone mentioned a team might use a strategy he had seen them use in the past?

...are people ****ing stup--

Never mind. Don't answer that.

So basically he was talking as if he was having a private convo and everyone around him overheard him.

Yep, that's pretty stupid. That's not why Dig lost, of course, but it was still pretty dumb. He said he even f***ed over his own team because they were planning on using that strat too. Oh well, Dyrus gonna Dyrus.

Right, but only TSM saw that strat in scrims between the two teams, so it's not like Dig had used it previously in tournaments or public games and other teams had the chance to study it. It was something they practiced in secret to save for worlds and he kinda f***ed that up by letting people know that they might use it.

Still, the public outcry is silly. He made a mistake, but it's not like Dig or TSM were gonna advance any further anyway. People can say "you don't know that" all they want, but unless both teams got really lucky, they were always going to be outplayed - super secret strat or not.

It was a moronic move to make but good on him for apologising I guess. I feel bad for Dig but there's no use crying over spilt milk.

If there's an oral or written agreement between TSM and Dig that is supposed to keep all their scrim records in secret, then what Dyrus did was wrong.

If not, then it's not a big deal. For instance, let's just say that I am partial to CLG. EU and I don't really want Dig to win anything during the WC, for whatever reasons an athlete can come up with. So I just leak Dig's strategy to CLG. EU so the latter can handily beat them. This is not cheating. It's just an indirect way to have the tournament go your way without actually playing the game.

There are people who value honour over winning; there's nothing wrong with that. But some people really want to win. There's nothing wrong with that either, as long as they are not cheating (e.g. Woong). You see that in professional sport all the time. Teams play like crap all the time on purpose to have a favorable seeding in the playoffs (i.e. to be matched against a team they know they can beat). Teams try to be horrible since the get-go at the expense of fans to tank the season to acquire a strong draft pick.. It's not honourable, but they don't get penalized.

Dyrus, if he had argued aggressively, would get away with what he did no sweat (though he would certainly earn the enmity of Dig). Instead, he lamented pathetically and apologized. Nothing wrong with that, but not many would stand by him when he himself condemns his actions.

OMG WOON AND AZUBU FROST ARE A BUNCH OF SCUMBAGS. I HOPE THEY DIE.

Oh what? Dyrus? He said sorry! He's learned from his mistakes. It's cool!

Really, it's disgusting how filthy League community is handling this.
