What's with Hecarim's damage?

Every time I use him, I seem to do crap damage with him. Sometimes, even the supports do more damage than me.

Max e first in lane, and rush a brutalizer then sheen.
It does crazy amounts of damage, and you can towerdive all day.

I go boots of swiftness as well, but maybe should go dunkmaster yi build on hecarim for lolz.

His W is the sole reason he's so good. That and R. He's like an Alistar that actually does damage and tower dives just as well if not better.

That build is really fun but just as much if not more of a gimmick then Dunkmaster Yi. But between your R and E to help escape it actually works surprisingly well.

The correct build on Hecarim is as follows:

Boots + 3
Philo
HoG
Merc's
Glacial
Sheen

Then finish Shurelya's, Frozen Heart and Triforce. Max Q>W>E, because W healing in teamfights is godlike, and Q damage is amazing. Your E should be used as CC, not a nuke. Ult into their team and E a VIP into yours. You just won the fight.

then you are doing it wrong

hec does enough damage to not be ignored while disrupting the entire enemy team and soaking all the damage they throw at him.

Yeah if I'm playing an ADC without an "oh ****" button (Varus and MF), then I really don't like heaving to deal with a farmed Hecarim.

You can also build him tanky if your team needs it

I am not sure what you are doing wrong. Max Q > E > W

I always thought it was max E first, seeing as how it gives you lifesteal and will give you a lot of sustain in jungle.

i think you meant you max W first b/c thats his AoE lifedrain...however

pro tip: healing on W is proportional to the amount of dmg done while it's activated, therefore maxing Q first with 1 point in W is increasing you lifesteal anyway and costs less mp
