What to do with Lee Sin and his late game?

I know Lee Sin has a good early game. But his good early game relies on getting kills from ganks. If the ganks are not successful, no kills, no deaths, nothing happens. Lee Sin will just fall behind.

The problem is, good enemy teams knows exactly how to avoid ganks from Lee Sin. That means, good positioning, warding, everything. I have enemy teams that know exactly where to stand, lane freeze and just farm passively all day. No gank opportunities. Sometimes the most I could do is just run into their lane, harass them and waste their summoner spells without getting any kills.

Then come mid - late game Lee Sin damage just falls off and couldn't do much aside from kicking people around or slowing them with E. His damage tickles.

What should I do early game if I just can't get any kills and their jungler is a better duelist than Lee Sin?

Basically you need someone else to step up to the front lane and initiate on their carry and you start peeling people away from your carry.

Enemy teams have wards first time they come to lane?

Lee can also tower dive very well if you get an early lead, as you said it's all about getting kills early and most of the time that is quite possible if you're decent with him, he's just fairly difficult to play in comparison to some other facerolls.

I liked the part where I heard "aced!" with 3 of 5 team members alive and a turret primed and ready to fall, likely leading to scoring the enemy's inhibitor.

This was a phenomenal play and you're silly if you disagree.

To be fair they were fighting a team 5v3 for most of it. That video should just be named "catch the enemy off guard and win". It was a good play at that instance because the enemy was outnumbered, but no legit team would let you get that close without blowing lee sin up and fighting 4v5 after it.

And no good Lee Sin would jump in like an idiot to let himself die leaving his team to 4v5.
He saw the opportunity to take out the enemy carry for his team and he did it. His team capitalized on it leading to a game winning inhibitor kill for his team.

Imagine if that Lee Sin hadn't taken that opportunity. By the time they were ready to engage the other team would have five members there and that tower never would've fallen. He initiated for his team and won it.

So many Lee Sins at low elo have no idea what to do at lategame once teamfights start. They only go in if their Q lands on a safe champion to second Q onto and they can W out again. You notice how this Lee Sin didn't even land his Q onto Draven? It was just a minion. But he saw the opportunity to score a victory for his team before the rest of the enemy team could assemble and made the play. Q minion, Q onto minion, drop ward behind carry, W onto ward, and imagine if he had been able to get his EE off on Orianna and Taric there. It would've been that much easier.

So, what to do with Lee Sin going into late game? Build like an unstoppable tank with some damage and utility, Randuin's is pretty much core and if you're winning pretty well a Frozen Mallet. Look for opportunities like this where you are able to create an advantage for your team regardless of whether or not you die. And yeah, the Rengar was splitpushing. It happens at high elo games.

This is similar to how Rumble can be used at lategame also. You initiate fights of opportunity with your ult as Rumble and with the damage stacking and huge aoe slow your team can use that opening to do a game winning fight.

While this is true, if you've started to fall behind as Lee Sin and you see the opportunity to trade yourself for their AD carry, it's probably worth it.

In general, if you didn't get fed early then you should just build tanky and peel for your carry (Lee Sin's skill set is very good at it).
