Boots in first spot. Exception: Viktor's Hex Core goes in first spot, followed by boots.
Followed by completed items, ordered from core to situational. Exception: Actives go on 2 and 3.
Followed by unfinished item components.
Followed by potions.
Followed by wards.

Nope. Things go in the order I buy them, but if wards go past slot 3, I move them to slot 1 (pressing 4-5-6 is too hard). Once I get Shurelia's, I move it to slot 1 and wards go to slot 2. If I get Randuin's, it goes in slot 3.

Actually yeah I guess I am OCD about placement.

Nah.

I generally put pots/usable items in slot 1+2, and wards in 3+4. That's it.

I use hotkeys of shift+Q, shift+W,shift+E for items 1,2,3 , so I tend not to be OCD with it but more I put potions, active items, and wards in those slots over later ones.

If it's item actives I tend to shift them into the third spot. Or slot 2, if I for some reason have multiple.

other than that no.

Yes, but mainly just for Boots in slot one and, for hotkey reasons, wards in 5 and health pots in 6. Other hotkey items go somewhere in that bottom row, as I only have 4 5 and 6 hotkeyed.
