How is hecarim's jungle?

Just wondering cuz I usually go top with him and I was wondering if I would be better off jungling.

I've been jungling quite a bit with him recently and he has very good clear times and some decent ganks.

One of the best, ignore the haters. There are a lot of people who bandwagon from when he first came out and some random person called him a "weak skarner". Which makes almost NO sense if you've ever watched how hecarim jungles and how a skarner jungles..

He snowballs out of control, and even if he doesn't, he can get very survivable and do very hard damage with little gold.

Haven't seen him in ranked, but solo queue he's insane.

His ganks are SCARY. Especially when your team doesn't have wards up. He becomes incredibly fast, and if you don't see him coming at you early enough, you're screwed.

He's got decent clears and good sustainability, and can start with boots/3 in the jungle. That's already enough for him to be a good jungler.

His ganks are also terrifying, a fully charged EQ combo hits for way more than anybody will expect, and his ult is just as good, if not better, than Malphite's.

Very strong.

OK.

Still relies a bit overmuch on teammates not being made of fail.

He cant start boots 3 pots, unless you get a GREAT leash. Well technically he can but he wont be able to gank at level 3 or 4 and will have to recall due to low health after a clear.

Neither of these are really true. His clears are on the downside of average and his sustainability is fairly pitiful. He's vulnerable to counter-jungling early if the other jungler has the champ for it because he tends to get low if he's given a bad leash and he doesn't have a lot of early creep killing power. Mundo or Shyvana or Lee Sin can ruin his day pretty easily.

But, his ganks, counter-ganks, and teamfighting are all awesome. He can put a lot of pressure on lanes because of his speed and he can initiate and turn around fights with his Ult and peeling ability.

He's basically what Rammus was in early S2 - so-so jungler, outrageous ganking.
