I have seen Zed a bunch.

I have never seen Zed do well at all. I went like 2/12 as him, I felt pretty bad. We still won, I got carried hard.

His damage is horrible. I think the problem is that his shadow is just not very good and neither is his CC. 1.5s slow? Bleh. I mean he is an assassin but if you look at Talon he has 4 damaging abilities instead of Zed's 3. His W of course gives him mobility and extra damage, even a good passive on it, but it has such a HIGH cooldown, even spamming E. He has a high skillcap but it isn't like he does insane damage, and he blows up like nothing. His only defense is also his offense, unless you count his 1.5s invuln on ult, which isn't really reliable, and you have to use at the START of his combo.

I mean think of his full damage combo... you have to walk up to the opponent or throw a shadow at it, and teleport, which means either you take damage walking up or you swith places, and the shadow won't be close enough to E. You then have to use your ult immediately to get the extra shadow, so the invuln is kinda useless. You then have to spam abilities with energy in melee range with your two "defensive" skills on cooldown and after 3 seconds it does damage.

How is the damage done? Sub par at most. I haven't seen it do enough damage done to be a real scary threat. I built:

Wriggles ( I was jungling, bleh )

I know wriggles isn't the best, but overall it looks like a solid tanky DPS build. I could go more glass cannon but I don't even see what else would really add much more over a wriggles, I could go more tanky, but I would do even LESS damage.

lol no he does ALOT of damage, atleast to squishies, a bruiser or a tank will ignore his damage though

I played a zed top in ranked with my poppy and destroyed him due to the fact that I had 78 armor at level 1, his damage tickled and he couldnt farm unless he used his spells or else I would Q him and I froze lane by my tower

I had a bad game, I went jungle for some God awful reason. Our top DC but it was ok because their top DC as well, but we had no tank since our top was Olaf and he was going tanky. So basically I had to initiate every fight... and I just got stunned by Taric and blew up every time I came within range. It just felt like I did no damage at all and if I used my shadow to initiate then it gimped my damage because he was too far off to land an E and they literally all just focused me instantly.

Every team fight would be the same, we all stand max range and poke. Finally when a teamfight started I would try and engage with switching with my shadow, ult to Corki, then try and E and Q as much as possible, but like I said... I just got stunned and focused, died easily.

Maybe my problem is using W to try and catch up instead of just straight ulting towards the ADC. Maybe if save the shadow for after ult, it will be better damage, I just hate that his offense and defense is on the same long cooldown ability.

Seeing plenty of zeds in 30 normals, ranked not so much.
