From your post I can see the LoL fanbase is just as full of raging kids as DotA.
I don't think that your erroneous interpretation of less than 10 lines of text is sufficient grounds to draw conclusions about a community of millions of players. It's something to keep in mind when you're dealing with gaming's larger communities.
ugly < Less cartoony than league and darker.
That's actually what ugly means. Good effort, though.
champs are too strong < But mana costs are massive meaning you can't spam your skills like you can in league. Plus, since they are all strong, it's not an issue.
First of all, you aren't allowed to tell other people what is and is not an issue. Since you seem to be rephrasing complaints here, this is what your post comes across as. I'm sure it is unintentional.
Second, ever heard of rocket tag? It is a style of game that many people dislike for perfectly valid reasons. As such, the "everyone is strong so it doesn't matter" argument doesn't fly.
not fun too complicated < Probably why you don't find it fun.
I think that the person you're responding to understands why they don't find it fun, so your post comes off as more of a personal attack than discussion. You should try to fix that in the future, should you be interested in having worthwhile discussions.
I played DotA Allstars obsessively until LoL came out. Went back to DotA2 for a while but went back to LoL almost immediately. Community-wise, DotA2 players seem desperate and a little pathetic. They all fervently believe that DotA2 is infinitely better than LoL, and rage against forums/the world because LoL is infinitely more popular. As such, some of them you meet on LoL based sites have superiority complexes.
As for why I couldn't get back into DotA2. Laning seemed too boring, and you generally have fewer abilities and can't use them as often. Turning speed feels clunky and insanely dated. The games tend to last longer. But most of all it seems like DotA2 has no personality; the graphics are bland, dark, and uninteresting, the heroes just a completely random group of misfits.
When I watch LoL on a stream, there is action right out of the gate, it is easy to follow visually and I can watch complete games more often because they are shorter in length. --- fight fight fight fight HOLD ON MARIO PARTY TIME! - J Koch
but i play league a lot more because it's really ****ing easy to find somebody irl who plays league, but dota 2 is hard to find outside of lan parties. and league players smell much better on average imo
For those complaining about the stagnent meta, find a group of 3 or 5 players, play TT or SR respectivly, and then do whatever the hell you want and no one will get mad. Not kidding or being sarcastic, this is by far the best way to have fun in league. --- How does Riot keep it's balance? That I can tell you in one word! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRdfX7ut8gw
Here he shows his complete lack of any idea of what he's talking about, yet he'll keep going in these topics and spewing crap because he's not very intelligent. --- You'll see - Eternal love, that's what this is This feeling that I just cannot resist...OD
