No. I'm really quite awful, to be honest.

No not really. I have lost more than I've won. I mostly play solo queue though.
For example I have 550 wins and 580 loses or something

I can hold my own usually. I'm not great, but I'm not bad.

In a normal situation I range from slightly below average - slightly above average.
I mean I know how to not die.....I'm competent. That's a good word for it.

Depends on my role:

Top - suck so bad, especially when junglers are involved
Mid - fairly competent
Jungle - can only play Warwick and Sejuani, I'm pretty average with them
ADC - I'm too cautious to get fed enough to be useful, so not too good
Support - rather good, I make a few mistakes but generally get my carry fed enough to steamroll.

I think I'm pretty good for a level 19.

I am really surprised how we aren't exhibiting the "above average" effect that badly, if at all.

It seems the most common answer is "I am pretty bad", or "I am better than my friends, but still quite bad in the scheme of things." While others say "I am quite good". Only a few go "I am about average" or "above average", which statistically should exist.

These answers by their nature imply a sort of awareness to comparisons. That while they don't give an accurate measure of skill, it shows they can accurately figure out their ability if given good data.

Does this mean that league players are better at self-identifying then players of other games? I wonder why this game helps players do that. If so, this is both extremely interesting, and extremely awesome. Because for once we might have something that says "Hey, league players are superior to other game players in this regard: they aren't wrapped up in ego trips or illusions."

I don't always Sublime Archangle and Silverblade Paladin, but when I do, I win on the fourth turn.

Top - Don't know what it is, but I'm a monster up there. Renekton, Jayce, Riven, I get level 2 ganked quite often, and as my allies are pinging "OMG YOU'RE GETTING GANKED NOOB!", usually what follows is "DOUBLE KILL!" Doesn't mean I'm good, but I tend to be better than the people I lane against..
Support - I feed my carry...
ADC - Eh... Work very much in progress. I keep even with the guys I'm against, but I don't always do so hot. I very rarely make comebacks here either.
Jungler - I counter jungle often, but either need to work on my ganks or need teammates which know how to initiate a gank better... Every so often I get those games where I'm 10/0/12 at the 20 minute mark, others I have games where I'm 5 levels underleveled and underfarmed... usually in those I buy another GP10 and farm jungle after a few bad ganks.
Mid - Who wants to get fed? >.> Don't send me there, anywhere but there!

Now these points of data make a beautiful line, and we're out of beta we're releasing on time! So I'm glad I got burned, think of all the things we learned!

Im a very streaky player, some days I'd say I'm above average, tear through enemies, but then the next day I over extend a lot and look like a complete scrub. I'm decent but far too inconsistent to ever be well above average
