Like in Dota 2, you would start with 250 extra gold if you chose random. What if LoL did the same?

Not trying to defend Pendragon here, because Pendragon is a huge ass, but the guy saw it was Pen and purposely randomed to troll him.

Also the guy already had tribunal cases where he was going to be punished.

It was much more than a guy just clicking random.

But as for the idea, why sacrifice teamwork for a little gold? You can already get extra starting gold though masteries and look how little that is used.

I also remember him banning him in the start lobby. How was he to know this player had prior incidents already if he didn't have the malicious intent to ban this guy on a, then, first offense? He was gonna ban him either way, why would he go to the trouble of pulling him up otherwise?

because it's literally takes about 10 seconds to pull this guy's name up on the tribunal, see he had cases pending where he was going to get punished, and "sped them up?"

The guy was purposely trolling him and everyone knew it. He poked the sleeping lion and then cried about it.

Another case of "don't put mechanics in the game if you don't want people to use them."

Random should have your gold randomly spent instead. Go go pure luck arams.
