Does Warwick NORMALLY curbstomp Irelia top?

If anything it's the other way around. Irelia is a strong laner not because she bullies everyone but because she loses to very few people. Her sustain, her stun, her ability to lasthit under turret with ease make it really easy to not lose the lane and get farmed. However, she peaks at Lv9 when her proc damage maxes out and falls off late. She's a generic meatbag with above average sticking power, thanks to her passive, but otherwise fairly unspectacular.

Does Warwick really beat anybody in lane? He is kinda like Cho in that sometimes you can outlast and start zoning weak earlygame champions with no sustain but without the raw damage to scare anyone with sustain or playing super-safe. WW is pretty good lategame against Irelia though, since his ult isn't affected by tenacity.

You are so wrong it's ridiculous.

Irelia should be able to 1v1 WW easily, she can just stun him out of his ult.

All of my wut.

I've seen it happen plenty. Irelia can hit stun on ww out of range, and if ww ults, the stun activates pretty much instantly.

Works against Malz ult too.

Last time I checked you can't use skills while supressed. It would take perfect timing to land your stun after the channel starts but before the supress starts.

Early on WW has the advantage but little down the way Irelia has to much burst...I swear does nobody know about cancel animation?? Such huge burst with her moves like that.

Also If Irelia has Ignite WW shouldnt be able to do anything.

The game provides the timing if you just use stun while he leaps from range with his ult.

WW wins in lane. Irelia scales better. End of story.

Compared to actual carries with all their multiplicative stats? Compared to "hypercarries" like Jax or Nasus? Compared to someone with a lot of utility, like Shen's AoE taunt and built-in Teleport or Malphite's decimation of autoattackers' DPS? Yeah, Irelia falls off.

Irelia peaks at Level 9 when Hiten Style is maxed. Her damage falls off as the game drags on, as enemies gain more health via levels and items but Hiten Style never gets any stronger, and her utility is minimal. All she really does is soak up damage and attempt to sit on enemy carries, which she's fairly good at doing but nothing spectacular.

Eternal Thirst gets stronger every level. Hell, by 18 it's basically an always-active Hiten Style for free. Hungering Strike is percentage damage, so it scales up as enemies get more health. WW also has plenty of late-game utility, including a fairly strong AS aura and providing vision on weakened targets, and he's much harder to kill since his sustain makes Irelia's look minuscule in comparison.

And as far as matching up directly against each other, WW wins autoattack wars with Irelia. Still, their sustain is gonna make it really hard for either one to actually kill the other in lane. But WW is generally better late and he's particularly good against Irelia, since she can't ignore suppression.

Warwick actually secretly curbstomps most tops. He's just sorta boring to play.
