Quick tip that should be common sense

if the jungler/mid/whoever comes to your lane for a gank and it looks like the other team doesn't know, bait it properly.

This doesn't mean all of a sudden go aggro. This is a common tell that something's up.

This also doesn't mean play normally and passive, though this is better than the above.

It means get hit by a CC. Take dumb damage. It works so many times if you just let that pantheon get in range to jump on you and stun you so that your Nocturne can be like "SURPRISE MOTHER F---ER"

That also helps secure the gank cause their CC ability will be down from the get-go and they can't use it to escape because they used it to commit to a trade.

This is probably most annoying in bot lane lane ganks. Varus, just get hit by Dazzle, you'll be fine.

Unless the enemy Nocturne is also there for a gank in which case you might die a horrible death.

But in most cases they'll commit on the stun and your Amumu can get ezpz bandage tosses and you can snowball bot lane together :)

*This is situational of course. Sometimes, you can initiate the trade with your cc and still bait them into a fight, while you have the advantage from the start.

Can't tell you how many times I've came to a lane for a gank and all of a sudden they go berserk and then the enemy ends up backing off and I'm blamed for it.

Probably partially my fault but I still hate when allies go total ape**** when they see you come to gank.

I would add that whatever you do you want to be extremely subtle about it. You don't want to play completely normal, but you don't want to give it away. Just make it look like you made a mistake in the hopes that they'll go for it (this doesn't mean running past the minions and dancing around in a circle).

I can't count the number of times I saw a gank coming because the person in lane gave it away. Oh look, that adc has been passively farming way back there all game, and now they're running past the minion wave and hugging the river bush...Or top lane the enemy has been using the bushes on the left all game and suddenly they're sticking to the river side for seemingly no reason.

It's just embarrassing.

Dont ever do that in bot lane, ever. 9 times out of 10 your teammate will get scared and run away leaving you alone vs 2 enemies until your jungler comes in...

Also, please dont do it against burst champions. Last night, I was Diana and the enemy Karthus did this exact thing (stood in place so that I can "q" him) so I just jumped on him and instagibbed him. At that point their jungler GP jumped at me... only to be instagibbed himself.

My trick that usually works is I just walk right up to a mage minion and start auto attacking it, regardless of if I'm ranged or melee.

They just think you misclicked beside the minion and hit their go buttons.

A great trick for bot lane if you are support is to act like you need to ward again. Bot lane combos (especially balls deep engage comps) will go on your ADC like 90% of the time in baddy mcbad Elo land (aka my place of residence).
