How come people don't know ho to react if you send the ADC mid and the mage bot?

Is this supposed to be gold? 3 out of 4 teams don't know how to react when you send an ADC that can lane mid there and send a burst mage bot,

Do people in platinum actually know how to react?

by stomping your adc mid and by ganking your permanently extended bot, which is incapable of last hit farming only aoe mana consuming overly lane pushing last hits
